Nope, not at all. I actually own one. Sous vide is an amazing way to get perfect temps on everything. And if you really get good at it, you can sous vide a cut of meat for hours. Then let it cool all the way down. Slap it in the fridge and when guests come over, sear it up on the grill for a few minutes. That way you don’t have to spend all your time around a grill/smoker. You can enjoy hanging out with your friends and family.Morning all. So, I’m visiting family in Tennessee and my brother has this crazy cooking contraption. I had never seen one before, it cooks perfect temp throughout. Season, vacuum seal, set timer to internal temp you want. When finished, seer. Perfect and delicious. This is probably blasphemy to @Gary Goodson.

If you can’t tell, I love mine. I’m always looking for new things to use with it.
