Sorry to say we're not the only ones. If you spent any time learning the vastness of the universe only for a few hours you'd come to realize that civilizations are created the same way we were, space contamination, super novas, comets, etc. for billions of years in trillions of galaxies, trillions of solar systems and planets. Our imaginations are eroded by religion. We are put in a box and unable to dream of the countless living organisms teaming in the vast universe. It's a really fucking huge reach to believe we are special in any way. We are just energy created with stardust. Enjoy it, that's all there is.

What is the optimal number of children a woman should have? I say it doesn't matter when/how a woman chooses to bring in a child to this world, letting her decide gets my vote. What does 'far from rare' even mean, how do you count an 'abortion' does everyone of the 380,000 women that get raped and report it in a year and take medication to purge anything that may grow inside of her count? Who knows how many are victims that didn't report it too.

It looks like around 800k abortions are performed in a year, Figuring in all the reportedly raped women and medical reasons (about 200,000), it becomes less than 1% of live births I would bet. That falls in my definition of rare.

I don't know that it is a religious reason. Its not hard to understand why people think killing babies is a horrific crime. Its a problem of figuring out why people get tricked into thinking a bunch of cells the size of a bean is a baby.

Recent report about Americans crossing over for free clinics, go fetch. I don’t agree with anything trump does, but a don’t believe that in his twisted pathetic mind he is not doing what he thinks is best. Reason we don’t want to put idiots in office.
