burning leafs with cfl why? to clip or not to clip

i have a 45 watt cfl bulb egv to a 150 watt bulb and i had it about 3 inches from top but keeps burning my leafs i though u were supost to be able to keep cfl close to plant?

well my question is do u clip the burnt leaf or let it grow back and come out of the burn its not to bad i move light about 6 inches away now seems to be causeing no more damage but do i clip or not?

you only have one CFL and its burnin the plant?? are u sure its not nute burn.....but i had the same problem with a seedling but i had about 5x42watt cfls and took some out now my babys are boombin i love it and how old is your plant the younger they are the more sensitive to burning i found

Hey!!! Im a noob too, but my cfls burnt a few of my leaves also... i just clipped em off, no probs from it.
Just dont clip off too many...

no i have 10 bulbs all togather treated all plants the same but i have just one 45 watt bulb i no its burn from bulb not nute burn
