I'm kinda on the fence on weather I should host a pig roast this year or not. I used to be able to do it all myself but now it's a 2 day commitment for the crew to help me, right at the end of season. The way I see it, if the pig is too much work then don't do it. Getting together for burgers and dogs or whatever (or possibly Chamarro ribs if I get inspired) works for me... just my 2c.
When I make the ribs and chicken Guam style it makes my neighbors hungry...lol

I guess it's become more of a tradition to the crews than i realized and they say it 'officially' marks the end of their season and they missed not having a pig roast last year. They insist it's not to much trouble. I think it's more symbolic of something bigger to them. So they kind of asked me to do it again.
Celebrating the harvest, I get that. Been done for centuries.
