I have plants that are three to three and one/half feet and I started them on 12/12 last week. My plants are outgrowing the space in my grow room and I'm afraid if I don't clear some out, it might interfere with my best plants which I want to take to full maturity. My question is, I have friends visiting in four weeks. Since I have to thin my crop anyway, do you think the ones I harvest early will be potent enough to serve my guests?

is it strong type of bud how much flower is on it justnow. if its strong bud chop one or two. if not put them out side to flower more

So there are two questions I guess I ask. Thanks on the advice for the overcrowding but they have started to flower and my second question is since this is my only supply, If I trim some top leaves and green buds in four weeks will the trimmings be potent enough to get a rush?

it could be that way, but the major buds grow in the tops and if this sites are cut away the lower do not necessarily take up the race to grow to the same size. but before you cut them down now totally this is by far a better approach to the problem

no,no,and no..gotta be patient..tie your shit down like nobody said..I wouldnt smoke it with company..not if you like them,,yours leaf isnt gonna do nothing but give you a headache ..unless your smoking mature sweet leaf..
remember..your going to be smoking the nutes that are in your soil..nasty..gotta be leeched..you dont want to start leaching until the 7 week on in flower,,depending on your harvest dates..I usually start leeching at least a week a head of time

When and if they were perfect to harvst, you'd have at least 4 days and 4 weeks to go, drying and curing your pot.
Man, HARVESTING at the correct time is very important to YIELD and more so important to POTENCY !
both Indica and Sativa ought to FLOWER 8 weeks, allow the stamens (white hairs) to dry a little, and turn reddish or light brown, with only a few remaining pale white, and MORE IMPORTANT IS THE TRICHOMES COLOR that you determine with a $ 9.95 microscope from Radio Shack.
WHEN and ONLY WHEN it is time to harvest, do you harvest. You really ought to consider FLUSHING, before you harvest. But if you do or don't, there is the DRYING AND CURING to get POTENT BUDS.
QUICK DRIED BUDS are harsh and weak.

Damn, I was afraid that was the answer. My brothers are coming from a long way and will only be here for a few days. Nevertheless I know the advice is sound. Well I guess it's alkie highs for the visit. Maybe I will try to crock pot some of the trimmings and cook with it. Thanks all, it is going to be dynamite weed and I guess I'll have to smoke it all by myself

buds can be stored in jars for quiet some time, so get a small jar for your brother and put it into your freezer till his next trip to youDamn, I was afraid that was the answer.
