FLOWERING TIPS AND TRICKS!

Well as the title reads I'm just looking for y'all to share your tips and tricks that you have found to work best when it comes to anything FLOWERING!! all the way up to when you cut them!! For instance I've heard of ppl drilling a screw into the base of stem to help something with flowering anyone else heard of this. Or anything similar
I'm tryna grow the best outdoor weed there ever was!........Eventually

Forget maiming plants outside of supercropping. Continue veg feeding the first week of flower and switch to bloom. Keep nitrogen low in flower. Bloom boosters unnecessary but if you do use them try using per manufacturer instructions. Such as Big Bud - people here using it too long during flower.

This is exactly the kind of stuff I'm looking for!! Thanks for not hogging info lol I will definitely try veg feeding into week 1 of flower!. I am using bloom boosters and it is indeed big bud lol. So how long should I use it? Throughout the whole flowering process?? Or?? Is there a period of time I should let them go without the boosters towards the end?? That is all I'm using is the Big bud. As I used the same brand "grow big"

Is there any way to make sure my nitrogen levels stay low besides the low levels my nutrients?. Is there a nitrogen up and down like a PH up and down? Sorry if this is dumb question lol.

Big Bud is to be used weeks 2-4 in flower. Per label instructions. Forget it after that. Xtreme Gardening Mykos WP is worth using in veg as it takes a while to colonize. Fungus is the biggest boost you can use in flower as it’s mainly responsible for uptake of nutrients but especially phosphorus. During flower an OCCASIONAL watering with a tablespoon of molasses in a gallon of water to feed them helps.

Oh gee I'm glad you told me that. So only a two week period I need to feed them with the big bud?. Then occasional molasses feedings?..its crazy how much stuff there is to learn. I'm still pretty new to growing so ima try to keep it simple as I can lol. So if you dont mind me asking how many different nutrients do you use during veg. Then during flower. And how do you go about mixing them? Can you put them in the same water? At the same time? Or is it one nutrient one feeding then another the next?

Just the bio thrive. I have some bone meal n some other stuff but I never really leaned how to use it lol so I might leave it alone this year. Should I be using more???

Omg!!! My fault I am not using big bud my fault i am using bio thrive bloom 2-4-4 is this ok? Big bud is what I was gonna go with but grow store guy suggested this for out door "organic" lol I feel dumb. Is big bud better?? Thanks again though. This is all helpful info

You’re probably better off with what he sold you. One bit of advice: keep it simple. If a question on fertilizer always go with the least. Label instructions are always “hot” as they were formulated in hydro under optimal conditions. Plus they want to sell lots of it.

I appreciate your time and info! you may have just saved my harvest lmao you gave me actual useful information that I will remember and really use from this point on.I'll keep this all in mind and keep posting if I have any more questions. What I learned early on is that in flowering, plants need much more water. Further in my experience, LEDs draw in a lot more water than CFLs. The the threat of root rot disappears in flowering especially if cloth bags or used.

I have tried cropping strategies, netting and all else. My personal harvests turn out better when I, just crop a little off the bottom for clones in vegetative and just let the plants develop according to how nature intended in flowering.
Perhaps sophisticated professionals do better getting fancy. Here at home, I get the best results by keeping it simple.

For nutrition, I let the leaves tell me what to add or subtract.
But, I haven found any downside to adding magnesium regardless. I tiny bit of thrive seems to help also.
Soil between 6 and seven works the best. I can't really tell any difference unless it gets above 7 or below 6.

Keep a close handle on apical dominance; keeping all tops at an even height for an even canopy. Take advantage of the space you have when tying down tops by spacing branches in a manner that maintains an even canopy whilst allowing light to penetrate deeper. You'll get less larf.

The screw in the main stem thing is just a way to stress the plant, triggering natural defense mechanisms like the production of trichomes or reinforcement of cell walls. There's more advanced stressing techniques like stem girdling you could try, but I wouldn't recommend it.

There's really not many secrets to a good flowering cycle despite what some of the loons on this site may portray. The biggest "hint" I'd say is just follow K.I.S.S. and experiment with twists and techniques at a gentle pace.

I topdress my girls at 2 and 4 weeks of flower with 3/4” of my homemade ewc. Sometimes I will add fresh comfrey to the topdress. They love it!!

Also, if your doing organic I would strongly recommend making your own compost tea once every 2 weeks or so. And if you don’t want to make your own I would recommend compost tea bags from xtreme gardening. I’ve used them and I really liked them.

Thanks alot bro!! I just gave mine their last veg. Feeding. Next will be first FLOWERING feed this is the hardest part tho...I'm so worried about bugs and or anything else that can cause me to lose my yield I grow outdoors in pots. But I'm liking the overall message of keeping simple

Thanks for the great reply! I'll have to do some research on.things you mentioned . But yeah I probably won't do any intentional stressing this year maybe when I get a little more advanced. Its crazy how much there is to learn you guys are helping alot!
