They looked the most uniform out of what I have to pick from. I will most likely train these into a scrog. Once the scrog is full enough I will flip.

I have a recommended height to work with from HGL. 12-15"

16/8 light cycle, going for some stretch so I can get my net in there. Also going to defoliate the bottom some soon.

I transplanted to 18L pots.


Topped both plants as equally as I could.


Left side is HLG. Right side is HGL.

I will say this about both lights, and the strain.
After taking a hit from a transplant and a top, they didn't even blink.

After posting this I think this gives HGL an unfair advantage. So I'm putting the 84x's back to side by side and flat.
HLG also sells smaller boards that could have been used in this side by side. The Rspec isn't ideal for a 2x4. I feel it is still a fair comparison being it has four boards and equal watts.

Edit: I am also going to try to defoliate them both equally.

The method I would do though is have two lights like I had the 84x's. I would stretch the plant out over the screen, then place the lights a little closer together and flat once the screen filled out. I would flip to flower at that time.

This is definitely and understatement. I run 2 QB 288 v2 @ around 220 watts during flower and it crushes my 2x3. I'd need that extra foot of width to even be able to use the 260 watts i have available.
Nice job on the side by side so far.
