Is Joe Biden a racist?

Marketing and printing moves fast in an Internet enabled world.

Watching Democrats destroy each other is just what America needs most. :wall:
Bernie's been tearing at them for the last four years or so along with his bots. What you are seeing here is a primary where the campaigns rub sharp elbows in competition for the nomination.

What? Are you feeling desperate watching Harris eclipse the old white men?

Bernie looked tired and already out of the race at the debate but you bots held firm and Bernie didn't budge one way or the other in the post-polling numbers. Warren and Harris both climbed in the post debate polls while Biden sank. I thought you'd be happy.

Is Warren the enemy now?

He's projecting because he plans to be divisive after Harris gets the nomination.

I don't understand what you mean by that. Are you saying that Joe Biden's remarks weren't racially insensitive? Or are you saying that she is just pretending to be bothered by it in order to gain sympathy from people who are sensitive to racially charged rhetoric? Are you saying that she is just pretending to be black and that she never rode on a school bus?

Please elaborate on this "race card". I don't get it.

What the fuck are you talking about gringo?
His remarks on this was not racially insensitive, she just blindsided him with putting him in a corner of either having to defend himself against the insinuation (she never called him racist, just did the I'm hurt remark followed up by saying he made remarks about racists, she never said what he said which was very very clever of her) she made or be silent about it.

We get it, you don't think that black people should speak up about racial issues.

Shut the fuck up gringo.

Troll handbook: Make a politically 'right' and 'left' account. Use one or other to stir up non-existent racist shit, either by posting racist shit, or by saying someone is being racist depending on crowd of that online community.

Troll Note: Use this later if Harris is running against Trump to upset the people that liked Biden to hopefully suppress a large enough portion so that the human Cheeto in chief slides in for another term.

No really. You're following me from thread to thread to insist that Kamala Harris is insincere about racial issues and it is fucking offensive. I'm not trolling shit. I'm calling out a bunch of whities who support an old expired idiot who used a state's rights argument against a measure meant to desegregate schools. Then he made racially insensitive remarks. People fucking riot and protest over that and it's a big deal. I get that racism is not a thing that you have to experience but you don't get to decide what is offensive and what is not, honkey.

How about if you simply listen to what Harris said objectively and not project your beliefs on top her words? She said Biden's statements about his relationships with segregationists were hurtful. She said his policies supporting local control over following school desegregation mandated by the Civil Rights Act were wrong. Can you objectively say either statement is untrue?

Regarding that bit about how Harris's statements would "upset the people that liked Biden" and so Trump wins. What I read into your statement is "don't talk about racial issues or Trump wins". Racial issues are all Trump ever talks about. So, racial issues are going to play in this election, one way or the other. Either we address these issues directly and risk turning off people who are already racially biased or we avoid them and risk turning off young black and Hispanic voters. We have to choose and I'm in the camp of addressing issues openly rather than avoiding them.

From Harris's performance at the debate, she came across as a better campaigner than Biden. I haven't decided on Harris but I do prefer that we have a person who can hold their own or better in a debate.

If you can be blindsided by something you in fact said, then maybe you should be more careful what you say to begin with.

I never said anything about her being insincere, I like Harris and would be very proud to have her as our president. I am just not going to agree that Biden saying he is against busing is racially insensitive. You don't know anything about what I've seen in life, and keep calling me gringo which is very funny to me. People get caught up in hearing things that are said online about this topic for sure, the shame is people pushing that what was said is more extreme than it was.

I did listen to what she said and believe it was brilliant. I am saying that there is nothing factually inaccurate about what she said, and further more when she later said she didn't think Biden was a racist was good too. Harris is my favorite since watching her in senate hearings, but I would be just as happy with Biden for the next 4 years to expose all of the election interference.

I am not saying not to talk about racial issues, I am saying we should be really accurate when we do though because this is what is being used to tear apart our electoral process. Understanding that with people using small soundbites and taking things out of context it confuses the situation. And that confusion is used by a very sophisticated trolling campaign to provide cover for Trump and other horrible candidates that foreign governments would find useful in further sowing chaos in our future democratic elections.

A good conversation can be had about the effectiveness of busing through the years and how hard it would be to know the positives and negatives before you had 30 years of hindsight.

If you can be blindsided by something you in fact said, then maybe you should be more careful what you say to begin with.

Then what were you trying to say when you posted this:

"(she never called him racist, just did the I'm hurt remark followed up by saying he made remarks about racists, she never said what he said which was very very clever of her)"

I interpret this as you saying Harris was disingenuous by "just did the I'm hurt remark" and "being clever". Your point being what?

I don't really follow how that connects to your last post, but I wouldn't go as far as her being disingenuous, just it being a very smart politically advantageous comment she made to elevate herself over Biden on that stage. She put Biden instantly in a defensive position that he had no answer to without looking like an ass.

I guess my point is that by using this to call Biden a racist or racially insensitive is going to be used by Troll bots to hurt Harris later on if she gets the nomination.

If you are complimenting Harris for making solid points in the debate, then I agree.

She didn't call him racist. She specifically said he's not racist. If troll bots say she called him racist during the debates then they prove that there is no point in worrying about what they will say. Facts don't matter to them or the people who believe them.

Speaking of facts,

Harris called Biden out for opposing the board of Education's busing program and said busing should be done at the local level or not at all. Biden still hews to that position. From an earlier post, I read that you agree with Biden on that policy? This may be where we disagree and can have a productive discussion.

I don't think this guy even saw the debate.
No, he posted a vid that contained the pertinent sections.

What's getting mixed up is what Harris said. She did not call Biden racially insensitive for opposing busing. She called Biden out for being racially insensitive when he talked about his relationship with segregationist congressmen. She said Biden was wrong for opposing the board of Education's busing policy and favored local decisions whether or not to use busing to desegregate schools.

I don't really have a position on busing tbh, I tried to find some good info on busing but that was a lot of garbage to wade through but it seems to have mixed results. I think the argument that every school should have proper funding so that regardless of where the school is the education would be optimal, but that is a whole other conversation.

Yeah she never said he was racist, she was very careful not to, he instantly read into it as her calling him racist, which was the plan is my guess, and got all out of whack. She is great and will make Trump look like a fool if she is on stage with them.

The troll bots will use the racism spectrum on this, the people that are fast to say 'i am not racist' combined with 'we have too many people of our own to take care of' or 'I understand why english should be national language' will have a hard time not acquainting what Harris said as Biden being racist after all the trolling is through.
