What do u think would b most effective inside a 4' by 4' by 8' grow tent?
400, 600, or 1000???

400 will get the job done but 600 would be better (as long as heat is not an issue). A 1000 watt light is definitely overkill for a 4x4 area.

Yup I concour. I have a 400watt for a 39.5x39.5x8 and she is looking good...600 is better though

ok so how do i make heat not an issue???
also I just went to the grow shop and they were going to give me the whole 600w set up w a cooltube and reflector and ballast for $416. Is that too expensive??

you can counteract the heat with that cooltube light. run ducting and a fan to it that way you can exhaust the heat coming from the light. also throwing in an intake fan to get fresh cool air in, box fans or oscillating fans to keep air moving in your room, and also an ac would work. I had to use an ac because i couldn't get intake and exhaust fans and my room temps were 95+.

I would start out with the cooltube light and a couple fans. once you got those setup and actually start measure your temps. if they are too hot add another fan, ac,etc. you probably wouldn't want a dehumidifier because the plants require a good amount of relative humidity and the dehumidifier would negate that.

Hey thanks for the site bro, i was quoted by my favorite Grow shop, that a 400 watt with ballast etc would be about 400 bucks and they said the 600 will be like twentybucks more. that link u put in the thread showed me some that were alot Cheaper and proably more what im looking for.
