Oxgentated water for plant growth?

So we all know cannabis plants leaves love carbon dioxide and their roots love oxygen. Can you use oxygenated water mixed with dechlorinated tap water for a boost i growth? Anyone try oxygenated water before? Shits kind of expensive 1.5L 6pack (9L) for $84 which is why I’d use more like bottled nutes. Also think I can use as is on seedlings for boost?

Look at the guy who watered with 36% peroxide.
Did the grower survive? I know his plant must have died...that stuff is dangerous.

36% peroxide? Is that legal to sell? Snake oil perhaps...
It's used commercially but very toxic.

Hey top-shelf...I know some soil growers will aerate nutes just by dropping an airstone in the pitcher for a few minutes before watering. Can't hurt...

This does not oxygenate water per se. It does not dissolve more oxygen in the water. What is does is provide such small bubbles with very low buoyancy so they stay suspended in water not dissolve.

Also to create this reaction it uses plates with an electrical charge this reacts with salts and breaks down the plates leeching metals into the water. This is why they need replaced.

The reason a do meter shows the water as being super saturated with o2 is because it fools the meter because it's reading the tiny air pockets in the water and not just dissolved 02

Just another gimmick IMO

Yea man, I have no idea if this thing actually works:confused:. I’ve never seen anyone use it but it seems interesting!

Yeah I looked into them about 10 yrs ago. There was a big rave about them at first. Then slowly the truth came out. The marketing is really good and they put forward some great half truths to support their case. This is one of those products that can easily dupe a person even with a good amount of knowledge and research.

I like to run an airstone in my water jug at least an hour before watering my plants to make sure it has as much O2 as possible but whether it really makes a difference I have no idea. Gives me peace of mind and doesn't cost much.

I always used peroxide in DWC before making a chiller out of an old water cooler. Would buy a gallon of 35% food grade about once a year but seems hard to get and twice the price these days. Drug store peroxide has preservatives in it so not good to use regularly on plants but a lot of indoor veggie growers use it.

It doesn't really hurt good bacteria as much as it does bad ones as the bad ones are anaerobic and lack oxygen so the free radical O+ molecule is more strongly drawn to oxidize them and any decaying material as they use oxygen whereas good bacteria and healthy material like roots have plenty of oxygen already so don't attract that molecule. Well draining medium should have plenty of O2 from the air so extra really isn't needed but in the case of hydro systems I'm pretty sure good old airstones running 24/7 is more than enough.

Definitely a use in a sterile hydro system.

The only point I disagree with is the anaerobic bacteria. These are not of concern in root zones or hydro. There is a massive amount of false information out there about this. Anaerobic bacteria reside in soils and mediums void of oxygen not so much lower in oxygen. In places that are often saturated with water and compact like clays. These bacteria are responsible for processes leading to hydrogen sulfide production like in old wells and stagnant clay rich soils. Plants and roots will not grow in these conditions. The bacteria and pathogens we have issues with are all aerobic. Lower concentrations of o2 create poor root health and inturn invites these bacteria and pathogens to attack the unhealthy root systems.

I mean low oxygen also leads to reduction in beneficial bacteria and others also opening it up to infection so that point is correct. But it's not actually anaerobic conditions or bacteria
