Please exsplain what each one does differently? Both make for a bushier plant correct? But what are the specifics of each one or that benefits the other doesnt have?
I got 12 plants im gonna fimm 6 and top 6 and see what happens...Topping will give you two tops and fim can potentially give more. I fimd my last plant and got 5 tops off one main.
I’ll guarantee....plus the results of fimming is inconsistent. I gave up on it before I ever got it right...it's not easy getting the right spot to cut.

I top 3 times and supercrop early. I can control the canopy height pretty well. Especially helpful now with the fixed reflector.Helltownhero,
I've been doing manifold training and it's an excellent way to control height. It involves topping and lst early on...and later...you just let em grow. There are a couple tutorials. Nugbucket and Nebula haze both wrote tutorials with slightly different methods.
@hotrodharley...hey dude, I know you've been having ph meter issues. Me too. But recently I bought hanna meter electrode cleaning solution. Made lots of difference. I was needing to calibrate too often...and the cleaner helps. Thought I'd pass that along to you. Enjoy the summer.

I started checking pH again with these Mega Crop nutes and tho the 7 year old pen would calibrate OK it was very slow to respond. I have 2-part cleaning sol'ns and gave them a good cleaning with that and it really improved response. The little reference electrode was almost completely black and was a light grey after cleaning. But recently I bought hanna meter electrode cleaning solution. Made lots of difference. The clones just took root in soil the other day and are really starting to grow fast...is it safe to top now since there roots are established? Or wait annother few daysI top 3 times and supercrop early. I can control the canopy height pretty well. Especially helpful now with the fixed reflector.
If they have at least 3 nodes go for it. As long as they have started growing above ground. The clones just took root in soil the other day and are really starting to grow fast...is it safe to top now since there roots are established? Or wait annother few days
Im stuck between fim or topping lol i never fimmed before is it fuck up proof? If they have at least 3 nodes go for it. As long as they have started growing above ground.
No. Not at all. The worst that can happen though is missing everything entirely and getting a top knot of screwed up leaves which they just grow past. I top because it’s certain.Im stuck between fim or topping lol i never fimmed before is it fuck up proof?
Ya, before...I'd have to calibrate almost every use or I'd get strange results. But I can see where a clean electrode would give the best results. I just can't determine the drops method. I am a little color blind. So I like having a meter with solid results...so I can keep my coco feedings at 5.8. That's when they are happiest.
