Hey guys and girls planning on growing some synergy automatoc alien lights og autos outdoor in a few months just a few question i have hope u guys can help i recently bought canna terra professional mix 50L(the normal one the pro one isnt sold in australia was wondering with this soil can i plant seeds directly into this mix?as heard not if not whats best way to do it as autos have only a finite time to grow so dont want to sacrifice yield by doing a transplant ? Also will be planting into plastic pots if it makes a difference
2.Anyone whos used this mix anything i should be aware of/watch out for potential issues? etc

Thats all my questions for now guys

G‘day fella,
If the soil already has extra nutes then it might be a bit risky; I would use either seedling compost or ordinary soil.

I transplant once, plants normally pick up within a few days so the risk of losing yields minimal imo; if you use final pot straight away, be careful not to overwater; just spray in the first few weeks.
Plastic containers are ok if enough drainage holes I use smart pots (fabric or air pots-Airpots are taller though...
Any reason u can’t plant straight into soil? I normally do a mix of both, straight in dirt gives bigger plants and therefore higher yields. Just dig a hole, put ur compost in, plant in, hey presto. I put some well rotted horse manure at the bottom of the pit. They seem to like it...

Any Q‘s feel free to ask in thread or conversation.

BTW; isn’t it too hot out there? My daughter lives in Byron and the temps there are way higher than ur plants can take.

Hey man cheers for the reply dont know about heat only been here 1 yr and a half but im aware the heats can be abit of an issue i plan on keeping it on a windowsill until its grown ots first 3 sets of leaves then placimg it outsode in the shade/sun for a few hrs for it to get used to it then place im full sun when its ready as for straight ground yeah i dont want them to grow over my fence and thought pot sizes give me more control over final height just checked packaging says lightly pre fertilized medium so i take it thats a no go so may by some seedling mix use a plastic cup and transplant into canna terra after a few weeks (thinking 2 weeks atm?) Any particular seedling mix ud recommend ?

In regards to outdoors-slowly climate them-days rather than hours.
in regards to temps- i always grow a few in my green house-thy are doing fine as long as I keep a fan blowing to move the air. How hot does it get ur way?
There are some strains out there that supposedly can take more heat.
As for seedling mix - I use BIOBIZZ, but I think that’s a European make only.
Just go to a garden centre-they will have a seedling mix straight of the shelf. Try an experiment: pop a couple of seeds straight into the pre nute soil; seedlings might be absolutely fine...
What is ur soil like? Heavy or light?

Don’t want to tell u how to suck eggs-U know about sprouting methods?

CANNA Terra Professional is a nitrogen-rich potting mix for plant cultivation. Your plants grow best in a
nitrogen-rich potting mix CANNA Terra Professional potting mix is unlike anything you will find in a garden centre. It contains a blend of upgraded black peat, granulated peat moss and perlite. If you are going to grow indoors or outdoors, this is the potting mix you want to use.
Advantages of CANNA Terra Professional
  • Exclusive, high value organic ingredients such as airy peat moss free from diseases
  • These ingredients also promote exceptional root development and the formation of thicker stems
  • Higher yields. Faster metabolism
    • combined with low sickness rates ensure an increased production
These characteristics and more make CANNA Terra Professional highly suitable for growing plants.
Also ye im knowlegeable about germing and sprouting seeds (just not this particular mix or autos)
