Autos outdoors

I wonder if mosquito netting around the whole plant would help, or will the baby worms just crawl right through. I have tons of moths and caterpillars, etc around here. They ruined my entire tomato garden last year. I will buy some BT, but it rains often and will wash it off. I can barely keep neem oil on anything before it rains again. I tried greenhouse last year, but it gets SO hot inside during mid-day, cooks everything even with doors open (defeats the purpose of keeping bugs out). I can't find a solution. Sucks because I love to garden.
Might have to try that...

It's definitely been a slow summer. Mine have a pretty broad range in size so far, they look a lot like yours. Here's the biggest and the smallest, only doing 4 this year.

When I look at pictures from this time last year they were a similar size to the bigger ones I have now, but they were started about two weeks later. It'll be interesting to see how much size is lost with those two weeks of non-growth. Luckily nothing is riding on this one for me, whatever comes of this grow is just a bonus.

This week we're supposed to see some days in the 90's, I think the high yesterday was 62º. This has been some messed up weather.

I
Thinking about starting a few pineapple express autos in pots outdoors... How can I make them more resistant to bugs if at all possible???
Have only grown outdoors a few times but have never had issues with bugs outdoors... Just do it... I think you will be fine... :bigjoint:

Hey. Here are a couple of auto pineapple Express in 7 gallon bags. Dropped seeds around May1.
Open ends greenhouse in coastal WA. Rarely 70F outside. PE seems to do well without 18 hours+ of light

Bugs, only early cool soil fungus gnats have given me a hard time outdoors. (Oh rolly polly potatoes bugs, beheading $10 a pop seeds too)
