Bernie can't even convince the democrats in his own fucking state, who hold super majorities in the Vermont legislature to raise the minimum wage he's demanding of Walmart.

How's he getting medicare for all through a Republican controlled senate?

Does the fever dream you live in have any details on how it happens other than the survey you say a year ago that says all Republicans secretly love the idea of medicare for all?

Medicare is more efficient than any private, for profit health insurance
repeal the tax break for the american oligarchs an double their taxes and make them pay a fair rate rate for their own medicare instead of capping wealthy contributions at 100K like i have had to pay, then implement the public option.

Definitely an interesting idea we should start to consider
now include what they actually pay out after they utilize their write offs and various tax shelters.
their assessments contradict what they actually pay.
that's a pretty novel idea-.taxing the wealthy
didn't William Randolph Hearst once say that paying taxes was the most patriotic thing he did?

Do you ever wonder why 'income tax' is the only tax ever cited in these sorts of polls?

Although rich people pay a higher percentage of tax in income, on paper at least, poor people pay a much higher percentage of their overall income in tax than rich people

But forget about all that for a second. Fundamentally, do you agree with the idea of taxation to begin with? If you do, do you believe rich people should pay more in taxes than poor people?

Fundamentally, taxation is identical to theft, in that both involve redistribution of property from one party to another using involuntary means.

“That per capita rate would put Canada near the high end of what other advanced economies pay. According to the CIHI, in 2014, the last year for which comparable data was available, Canada spent $5,543 per resident, more than the United Kingdom ($4,986) and Australia ($5,187) but less than Sweden ($6,245) and far less than the United States ($11,126).”

This argument, with hourly wage jackasses defending our “system”, is the ultimate example of fucking brainwashing. You don’t even or ever look up a single damned bit of information. Yet you somehow believe you are informed enough to participate in the conversation.

If universal healthcare was a financial nightmare people would be fleeing here from Europe and Australia and they are NOT!

Well ya, except for all the services you get from the government, exactly the same.
