Topped and manifold but grew too tall can I top for height?

So what happens if you get your baby topped and manifold nicely but the other were too slow and this grew like, pardon the pun, but grew like a weed? Should I top it again to 1/2 height it is so that when flowering stretch it’ll double to where I want it, or what do I do? Will this hurt any thing if you go from 35” to 18”?

@H.A.F. You have more experience then I do with Manifolds, Got any advice for Aviatorshades
Maybe with a pic, people use different names for what they actually did. I do have my first sativa manifold going, and she's a stretcher so I can try.

I topped above 3rd node and removed everything under. It grew into a Y from that point. Then I had on each side of the Y, 8 colas going upwards on each side of the Y. Then I let the tips of the original Y also go upward. So I have a bunch of long colas that have become too tall. My question is, can I take those colas and remove a foot or 18” to make the overall height of plant to be 18” rather than the 35” it is now. Will that effect yield or is it ok since I’m still in veg. I dont have pics

Simple answer is "bend stuff sideways" ;)

One thing I have been watching is that mine will be past the edge of the pot by the time she's ready to start going 'north'. I try to keep everything level until then, but I can see that will be a challenge with one that grows quick.

I am thinking about bending stuff back downward, and trying to keep it symmetrical - like when they get to the pot edge, bend everything to the right - or whatever.

OK - you can't hold it against me if I misunderstand any part of that with no picture reference. I'll try to keep it generic.

Easiest answer is to flip it. it's ready.

If you are saying that it is too tall already, and that the 'post-flip-stretch' will put you past your limit, then yes you can top each limb.

BUT - When you do you get 2 more tops each so make sure you leave 2 sprouts! DON'T top below where you have already pruned!!! :)

Also, you'll need to give it another week-ish for those two new top shoots to get established before you flip. So if you need to top a node lower to compensate for that extra growth, then the stretch after flipping, that's another consideration.

Hope this helps
