Im new to the site doing some research on ventilation and cooling. The tent is 77" x 77" x 77" (HTG) I was going to order the 6"inline fan/filter combo from htg (435 cfm). besides a small circulation fan what do you recommend for additional cooling/ventilation? Does anybody have a link to a good drawing or map? THANKS

site, scroll down and check the other pages, there is a squirrel cage fan for under 15 dollars. Good luck, they also have other fans too.

i use that same fan filter combo in a 39 x 39 tent from htg and its over kill for my tent . should work well for yours.
i would also suggest an air cooled hood if you go with HPS or MH lighting which i would in a 77 x 77

i think the set up you described is a perfect match so im not sure you will need added ventilation, but give it a try and see if you do,i have the same tent with a smaller blower and it works fine,so give it a go,you may want an aircooled hood for your lights but you may not need it depending on your outside the tent conditions.

changed my mind got the 4' x 8' x 6.5' tent it has 9 total vent ports 5 6" & 4 4" . I have (2) 600x1 hps's & the 465cfm 6" fan with charcol filter. it will go filter-ducting-fan-ducting-out of tent. The tent is in a large garage where temps will drop below freezing w/snow within a moth. The garage is pretty insulated though but, a heater wont be a problem.

Now for my real question...

Itake air?

will small duct fans work at the bottom? there are two 4" flanges at the bottom & top of tent.

Should i buy another blower to force more air in?

A/C?

Cool tubes/venthood? (this thing is 8' long)
or am I ok?

any suggestions?

thank you

sorry not to jack this but real quick what are thos 77x77x77 tents like was looking to buy 2 of em in like 2 weeks so i really would like to hear more about em and for others i know secret jardin is better im asking about the htg supply ones.

as for oyur question with your temps so low dont worry about a/c air unless in the summer which is over and moving onto winter. as for your intake if you have the covered hoods with glass and the fan pulling the hot air through the hoods then you may need a smaller fan bringing fresh air into the tent and maybe a fan on the inside of the tent to circulate the air. but with your inline fan pulling air out it should help create a negative pressure that will hopefully pull new air in naturally ya know?

if you open the flaps in the bottom of one side of the tent you create a pasive intake, air out vacum causes air in,just make sure you warm the cold air in the garage before it is sucked into tent, also vent your carbon scrubber inside the garage to reuse the heat, you will have enough drafts in the garage to provide fresh out door air.if you dont need the heat produced inside the tent exahaust it outside, but you will need your heater going steady or a duct from the house to the garage.

anyone else?
Yeah man....

I agree with the idea of air cooled lights....

I have a 600 watt HPS 10" away from seedlings... with no problems... temps are 72.1 as I look at the thermometer while typing...

I use a 4", 170 CFM centriugal fan, dedicated to the light, 4" ducts to adapters on the 6" cool tube....

Al B. Fuct runs a 200 CFM fan across 2 x 1000 watt HPS in cool tubes.... one fan for both lights...

As for intake/exhaust, your temperatures will have to guide you....

I am shooting for being able to cool it to 65F in there... and control the temp with fan speed controllers... that way I say what the temp is going to be...

Also important is to remember that you want a slight vacuum in your tent.... so fresh air leaks in....

You do not want your tent pressurizing, ballooning... intake should be about 2/3 CFM than exhaust....

I want to harvest the best I can produce... so I am a believer of over lighting followed by some over venting...

But that is just me... and my 600 watt 36x20x60 home made tent

Hope this helps... holler if you got any questions...

Best of Luck...

Why not build one?

I wanted their $160 tent... built my own 36" x 20" x 60" for under $50...

Over all... I saved more than $400, by not buying pre-made...

What do you think of my tent?

Cheers...
