Hello all. This will be my first post ever. I took 72 cuts from a few moms and put them into the cloner with some clonex on their roots and great white mixed in with the tap water on April 4th. On April 18th 70 showed roots. On April 22nd I soaked the rockwool cubes in 1/4 strength nutes. On April 24th I transplanted 68 clones into into grodan plugs and into the 4x4x4 rockwool cubes. On May 15th they were flipped to Flower. I pulled 12 and transplanted sta led them onto 6x6x6 Rockwool for another grow. I'll also be pulling the runts tonight. I'll also be pulling the runts tonight. Should end up with roughly 50+/- clones in the end. I am still fairly new to growing and this will be my 1st sea of green grow.

Strain- Mimosa (Purple Punch x clementine) by Symbiotic Genetics

Grow Space- 4x4 Tent with a 3x3 flood table and 17 Gallon Resovoir

Lights- Air Cooled 600mhs and 600hps (currently looking for a l.e.d. for a 3x3)

Medium- 4x4 Rockwool

Nutrients- G.H. Floraseries, Calmag, Florabloom, Photosynthesis Plus and some great white every few waterings.

Does anyone have any info on why the lower leaves are yellowing. Calcium deficiency? Also the leaves that are crusted up and brown are still in Veg. Maybe I spilled some nutrient mix on the leaves. Just looking for a little help on this topic.

Thanks

Check for little black root aphids on the undersides of the cubes, could be watering a little too much.

Could be nitrogen deff.

Could be lack of light and air flow.

Baby the root zone until the cubes are rooted throughout

No Aphids. I just gave them a little plain R.O. water with some cal-mag. The last time I fed them nutrients it was around 360 ppms and the p.h. wss 5.8-5.9. I'll bump the notes up a little. I'm waiting on my flood table and stand. Once that comes in i'll be able to get them into their own 5x5 with more light and better air flow. How often do you water with nutes. I usually feed them nutes once a week sometimes week and a half and in. Between that just plain r.o. water p.h.'d to about 5.9 and maybe some Great White myco. Am I starving them?

Yes.
Should b feeding constantly.
Bump it up to 600.
Microbes need food as well.

I just put my tanks at 1250 in week 4.
They will b feasting!.

Fed the plants with a ppm of 762. P.h. was at 5.8
I ended up using the Floraflex nutrients and will keep using them. It gets annoying measuring out so many different liquids. I removed 2 slow growers and removed lower bud sites but left the fan leaves. I've read that it's good to leave them on and just let them fall of on their own. If anyone knows otherwise, feel free to give some input. Photos look crappy even with the glasses over the lens. I also put the 12 4x4's that were stacked onto the 6x6 rockwool cubes into the 5x5. Some of the plants in the s.o.g. have lower yellow leaves. Is this a calcium issue? It's all lower leaves but today it looks as if some are getting light up top. Wednesday will be week 3 of flower since flip. I use tap water and the p.p.m. measures 170+/-. I p.h. it to 5.8.

Quick update. Wednesday was week 3 of Flower since flip. Last feeding was 1000 p.p.m with r.o. water, florflex nutrients, calmag, kool bloom and photosynthesis plus. I switched the hood out for a wider one. Temps are around 82-84 tops and down to 74 at night. The yellowing has stopped and the plants look much better. As suggested I fed more and added calmag and used r.o. water the last 2 feedings. Hopefully the yield doesnt suffer. Pics from the last 2 weeks

Hi Johnny,
Never done sog with rockwool...but have with clay pebbles. When you refill res...why don't you handwater the cubes and runoff will dribble down to res. Sorta like coco guys doing 20% runoff. Nutrient salts can accumulate in rockwool just like with anything else.

Sweet! Im gearing up for a soilless SOG run again here.
Gonna run 100-120 in 1gal pots under 2x 600watt hps.(4x8 room)
If I can run the full 120 I think I can pull 3.5-4lbs.
You decide on a strain? This Mimosa isnt the best for s.o.g. but I do have some critical kush I'm going to pop in a little. I'm sure that's when I'll see the benefits of the s.o g.
