Over watering in flood and drain tables?

Well I put up my thoughts... by all means take em leave em... apparently mid 80's and 15%RH yields awesome plants.

Down, boy.

Perfection is not a prerequisite.
I don't strive to grow in mediocre to poor conditions because it can be done. You want 85F because its optimal for LED grows but everything else doesn't matter? I'm confused as to your logic??? Anyhow seems like your here just to get something going so I'm out

You can up the feed all you want but if you don't increase your watering frequency its not gonna matter and will only make it worse. With your low RH and temps probably at least 2-3hrs. max between. Still say you will get better growth with an optimal VPD over stretching it for temps for the sake doing so. Anyhow your choice

I dont disagree. Ideal VPD would surely improve growth. But that just isnt possible for me where i am. When the plants get bigger the RH will increase of course.

As for increased watering intervals... tempted to give that a try. What would it hurt?
But... the leaf tip curl or claw... that is something ive seen with over watering in promix. I was the champ at that. Partly why i went hydro. I have never seen that with under watering... just all around droopiness of the entire fan leaf... so i am a bit skeptical. Having said that, this is only my second hydro run.

Thats not a myth? Something that Mr Yellow started spewing?
Is and isn't. Personally I feel 85F is to much. There are a ton of studies that show optimal growth rates for cannabis are with leaf temps of 75F. Now lights like MH,HPS and CMH all put out varying amounts of IR. A lot of the COB's and QB's do not provide this spectrum without supplementing it. So most have always gone off the fact that if you keep temps at 77-78F you should be about 75F leaf temps since HID lighting provides IR. With no IR your leaf temps can be much lower, I have seen a diff of 8F personally LED with no IR. So you raise the ambient temp to compensate.

Easy enough to find out. Up your nutes like recommended and keep the watering schedule the same for a few days.
Then switch to 2 hr intervals and watch how fast it gets better

Well then who here on this site is running 85 degrees.

Ill give 3 hours a try cause thats the limitation of my Titan timers. If i see improvement ill pop for better timers and try 2 hours.

But if you do 1 thing at a time you will have your answer. I would only change 1 variable personally just to confirm to myself what the problem was for future reference

If I didn't read anything in this thread my first thought was over feeding. I flood my tables every 2-2 1/2 hours no matter what size they are. I think I could flood every 4 hours without issue but I figure 2 hours of air is good enough. That's why I think it's too much N somehow someway.

My ppms have only been 300 this 1st week, with way less N. In fact, i know i have to bump it up because the new leaves are much too light green.
Your starving your plants.
Bring it up to 1100 and keep the flood at 1/2 hour on for every 3 hours off.
Your adding Cal mag right, because that is very important in hydro with pebbles
