No, sonoffs as of right now cant control dimming. It has A series drivers on it. The 480s dim to almost 0. I think its 10% but they are damn near out turn all the way down.
Ohh right....yup..thought for a second that you were implementing something i didnt know about re your comments: 'full wireless control' . ;)

How do you find the signal from the module being in a aluminium box like that..? No different?

Im thinking 'physical' control of the module has also being taken away..?

Build lookz solid yo! Kudos! :)

The light is done. Minus putting the framing slot cover on. Soon as it gets here. This light will be 100% complete. Has full wireless control from his phone, full dimming ability, temp n humidity monitoring. Theres two of these. 960+ watts per section. Each half section only weighs 19lbs. Total weight is 38lbs. And comes in at only 3.75" thick. Giving him extra headroom to boot.

I wouldn't mind building something like this but with the new cutter sol strips. It'd be cheap and twice as bright.

The top of the boxes slide off. To access everything, and it doesnt effect the wifi.

Well they USED to be UNDER $10, But for some reason they just keep climbing up in price and are nearly $12 now. Kinda gives me a bad taste in my mouth and makes me not want to use them.

Man, i was wondering wtf lol

i thought he was talking about the same strips but wasnt sure when he said twice as bright and cheap

Yes they are def cheaper than F series or H-influx but noway in hell are you replicating the lights you have built for what id consider to be cheap using any strips lol ....and twice as bright, well ya, build it twice as big, but not for cheap lol

Lol, yeah I was confused for a minute. You're lookn at $1'5xx bucks just on strips to make a light twice as bright as this one. Not counting the 1500+ for divers to run that many. Then your lookn at a 750ish for heatsinks. Hes already at 4 grand with no wire, no framing. No wagos or soldering. It would take 5 grand to double this light.

No doubt

LOL you dont need to tell me brother. I just went through all of this myself as you know. Being Canadian it hurt a little bit more.
54 strips cost me $850 shipped
27 heatsinks cost me $300 shipped
Frame and hardware $150
Drivers $500
I DONT HAVE ANY FKN WIRE OR WAGOS OR SOLDERING YET EITHER OMFG LOL

Thats why when he said twice as bright and cheap i perked up, thought i had made a huge mistake and bought the wrong strips or some shit lol

These strips are def cost efficient compared to most, but to build a good light like you are, its still not cheap lol

Hi Air
We had to lift the cost a little on the 90 CRI as we have a shit exchange rate right now(AUD-USD) and the 90 CRI chips are dearer than the 80, Im hoping to get the cost down again as were negotiating on better PCB/Chip costs
Cheers

Well unless those strips are $6 or less, this would be a better option.

Which strips would be the better option? Were both using the same Sol skin strips from cutter as far as i know.

im using the same strips as WW, which are also the same strips you referred to when you said you could build it twice as bright and for cheap? the sol skin 90cri?

each strip cost me $12-13 i think....got a little cheaper if you went into the 51+ range. i bought 30 of the 90cri and 24 of the 80cri, so i never got much of a discount.
