I’ve been drying for 5 days. Temp is 65 Rh is around 60. What is a sure way to tell if the buds are dry enough for a good cure

Very simple process remove all fan leaves but don't wet trim, hang dry 7+ days ideally till stightly crisp on the outside but still soft inside. Remove the buds from the stems, and put them all in a big paper bag. Leave them in there for 4-7+ days and check them daily and mix them around. This will balance out the moisture level without letting them get "too dry". Once they have reached the perfect smoking texture and moisture level, trim them up and put them in jars. You might want to check on them the first day or 2 just to make sure they were correct, but if you do it right you won't have to fuck with the jars, or burp them or anything.

If you ever smoked weed you should be able to figure this out. Let me give you a hint: just right is just right, for smoking, curing or storing, all the same.

A simpler answer is they aren't ready to cure until they are ready to smoke nicely.

Yep, I think it works better in low RH then high. I started doing this in the winter when my buds wanted to dry a bit faster then I wanted. Once they felt that crispy ness on the outside into a bag they go.

Dude you should thank the stars your in a time period here when a lot of info is correct and worry less about small matters.
Theres so much more past the basics to the dry and cure that each grower can achieve so much more as grows and skillz mount up but to start with just keep it simple and dry and smoke see what you think over a few harvests

Everything people are telling you is correct, but I wouldn't hold to tight to a certain amount of time before jarring. I think it kind of depends on the density of the buds. But when they start feeling crunchy on the outside, it's probably time think about putting in a brown bag for a day or two, and then the jar before they get to dry. I'm still trying to perfect this myself. Over dried my last batch. Oh, and Kingrow is a dick. I used the ignore function on him, and made this site much more enjoyable.
