Yes, the only problem I see with the boards are all your diodes are clumped together leaving you less options of dispersing the light over the total canopy area.

Ok, now this thread is producing some useful information. As @boilingoil has stated it is about the the ratio of R : Far Red. @rkymtnman needs to somehow factor in the reds that are already in his base white led's.
This brings us to the heavy science part. If I have say 500W of the below spectrum, how would I determine the quantity of Far Red to add to get to the proper ratio?

Looks like a ratio of about 20 to 1 to me. It’s like “here’s a crapload of red” and then “oh yeah here’s a sprinkle of far red just so we can say it’s there”.
But the graph is divided into sections, so I’m sure you could apply some apply some math to the chart to try and figure it out. Not sure how one would go about it though.

mine is very similar. i have the 4k diodes so according to the chart i looked at, my relative intensity at 660nm is almost exactly 0.4
so as a rough guess, if i had a spike of 730nm that was 0.2 relative intensity, would that be the 2:1 ratio?

and for the r spec @OneHitDone you look like 0.8 at 660 so a 0.4 spike at 730 would be 2:1

This is where the "Science" and "research" comes into designing a light. Which is where @HydroGrowLED was right in criticizing a lot of the product on the market for only using white diodes.
Someone with the proper test equipment could measure the actual intensity in a specific nm range for each type of led (maybe the manufactures of the chips already have this data?). The we could for example say - I have 1000 milliwatt of 660nm, I need 500 milliwatt of 730nm etc and match it up to the chip that will provide that output at the given drive current the board is running at

It is unfortunately all a guessing game without proper measuring equipment but if I had your fixture I personally would make 3 rows of 4 740nm diodes and put 1 down the middle between the boards and the other 2 on each end of the picture like "pontoons"

i agree to a point but if you look at the spd chart for her/his rgb light, it's missing yellows, oranges, and whatever is b/t blue and green spikes. which the white diodes have a ton of.
but that video you sent me when the guy did the quick test with just that screw in far red bulb, the spike was pretty high considering how far away his meter was from the bulb.

That bulb has like 15 diodes in it though,
So picture that but distribute the light over the whole area your fixture is covering and the effect would not be so pronounced on your spectrum

yeah, for my situation of just 4 plants, i think if i get close that will be good enough for me.
i was actually leaning toward just 2 of the growmaus far red pucks: 1 per 2x3 area to cover teh 3x4
for 60 bucks, it would give me a good idea of what just far red would do for me and then i could go from there.
Who cares about missing yellows or oranges? All the spectral research on the web shows these wavelengths are barely absorbed and have little to no benefit to the plant. If you want proof just create a light with only yellow and orange LEDs and see how well it grows plants (or literally doesn’t). Why aren’t there any yellow/orange specific lights on the market if these wavelengths have any importance?
And dude why the disrespect? His/her? It’s 2019 man, intolerance towards one’s gender is no longer cool these days. Guess you didn’t get the memo. My teenage daughter is transitioning to be a boy. then it's not full spectrum. i thought the idea was to mimic sunlight? have you seen a spd chart for sunlight? it doesn't have only 3 peaks at RGB.
since you arent' familiar with Cammi or Cameron because you're new here (or are you new here?)

I read this post and I see that a lot of people are treating someone unfairly based on gender biases. What do car parts have to do with LED lights? What does Cammie’s gender have to do with her products? This whole he/she nonsense just shows how biased you are against this person for their gender, which shows your own intolerance (further proven by feeling sorry for my daughter rather than being happy for him because he’s finally going to be the person he always thought he should be). Let go of your hate man, it’s only hurting you.
And sunlight? The sun is a star man, it’s not a grow light, Haven’t you read any studies on light absorption or how plants primarily use red and blue light? Full spectrum is an excuse for not creating the proper spectrum. Plants filter out most of the light from the sun, so if we’re using the sun as a baseline it’s not very efficient. So why are so many companies trying then to re-create sunlight? Why create a light where the plant has to go through the work of filtering out colors it doesn’t need or can barely absorb?

really? it's the best grow light ever. mankind has only been trying to mimic it since the invention of the light bulb.
if RGB was truly a revolutionary spectrum that he/she came up with in 2009, don't you think all commercial growers worldwide would be using a RGB spectrum?
