I do hear lots of ATV's easing around at night. Looters and scrappers have hit two of Mamma's old houses, so I've been kind of hoping to run into them. Now those are regular stops on my midnight rambles, but so far I haven't run into anyone.Do you ever run into other people walking/wondering around while at your camps in the woods?I know the woods here are not as private that I would like and would surly run into others sooner or later.
I remember your weather drove you indoors. You could pick up a few clones though. Still lots of time. I'm not going to start for a while yet. But then my situation is different. I'm trying for waist high plants. And letting the woods green up some before deciding if i have to do all new holes, or is some of my old ones will work. {the woods are all wrecked from Hurricane Micheal}Last spring it did not stop raining and warm up until the second week in June. This year we've already had several weeks of sun running mid-April into May, and this week the temps are supposed to get into the mid-80's with no rain in sight. I bet we break some record highs this week. They say climate change does not always mean warmer, but does usually mean unpredictable.
Ironic, that last year I had a big outdoor grow planned and many of the plants were stunted by the long cold spring, and this year I'm half-heartedly popping a couple of autos that I'm doing such a bad job with I'm not sure they're going to pop, and if they do I'll put them out with the veggies in the garden. I've got nothing invested in a crop this summer, I'm only trying a few because I have too many seeds.
Time isn't the problem, other than the cold/wet/windy fall weather -- which I can avoid with autos -- the remaining problem has been thieves and worms. It seems that I can grow enough in one big winter indoor to last a year, so even though it's very expensive compared to an outdoor grow, that's the road I'm taking because the result is more certain.I remember your weather drove you indoors. It's dry here now. It was June/July when the rain started last year, but it didn't let up in the fall like it usually does. Rained right through until spring.
It's a shame legal weed led to such a spike in smash and grab thefts like yours. I have no cold, but rain and rot were terrible. I might try autos. Two of my plants early flowered last year, and didn't ever reveg. They were ready in July. They still had some rot, but the least of any of them.Time isn't the problem, other than the cold/wet/windy fall weather -- which I can avoid with autos -- the remaining problem has been thieves and worms.
