nah man.. the larry bird cut (Larry Legend wore jersey #33) is the pheno of the gelato strain that was considered most desirable. Never heard of it testing over 30 either. Appreciate your time though
LOL,,,several of us have a cut that's bumping 33 on most runs.. One of the guys thought it was the release# and then the rest you know...
Maybe it's just a pheno from that 33 that we hit on. The "we" is a group of us in various locations around the country. We get cuts or high bean counts and search as a group. Share the best results and then cull the best from those.
Cuts down on hunting times and has yielded better end result pheno's.... I figure it's the personal opinion thing.... Someone will hit the winner winner chicken dinner pheno out of all the beans we hunt through..
I have a select group that want that particular Gelato pheno....They tend to be the high power indica folks...... This thing hits you on the first exhale.....hard too!
Others try it and say to much for me.. "I don't like being locked to a chair and stupid."
I have another Blues guitar friend. Old school blue's man. Been on records of the stars as a studio player. Won the Detroit blue's comp twice...Gave the award back the second time....Said, "it should go on to a newer younger player. I got mine here already."
He plays every Sunday, kinda local and open mike thing. So we go out at first break. I say try this...(the gelato) It goes around 4 people till the stick is gone. We go back inside.
He plays one song and gets up, hands his amp over to a cpl of guys there and says, "Lets listen to some other guys that came to play."
He comes over to our table and sit down. Leans over and say's...."NOO MORE of that when I play.....Just keep me on the Chem and Glue. I'm kinda lost, Just need to sit, sip some Remey and chill."
He has never asked for more.....Hehehe..... I thought he would like it....He's my #1 patient.....Been with me for years.
