Identifying male and female plants

Is both male and female? There is the 2 white hairs(pistils) the second circle concerns me. Has a tear drop shape to it but could this be a pollen sac?

Ok that’s what i saw but got confused when i looked all over the plant and saw white hairs. So I researched and knew about Hermes.... wasn’t sure... wanted to check before i pulled. I feel like its safe to pull now. Started with 7 ladies. Down to 4. Bag seeds. Lol

4 out of 7 isn't bad, even if you purchased regular seeds you could expect that percentage.

... so I researched and knew about Hermes....
Perhaps you meant "hermies"? Hermes was the god of trade, heraldry, merchants, commerce, roads, thieves, trickery, sports, travelers, and athletes in Ancient Greek religion and mythology. That's a rather hefty workload for one dude ...

Agree with Redeye. 4 out of 7 is a great ratio. A buddy of mine, who's does an outdoor grow every year, germinated 15 seeds last year and only 3 came out female. 20% success rate.

Oh, that sucked!

Fuck yea that does suck. Im so happy i have at least 1 or 2. But 4. Im super happy

Supposedly the more optimal the growing conditions the better the 50/50 ratio will be. So far you're kicking ass..
I dont know anything about that in biology but it sure seems that way....i have never gotten less then 70%+ on any seed. (when i say "any seed" i mean from top notch down to strait brown trash)

Sorry folks - don't agree with that one. Optimal growing conditions increase the overall yields and the yield quality while reducing the chances of a hermie. But the sex of the plant was already set.

That's why I said supposedly, some say conditions are a factor in the beginning of growth while others say it's predetermined? Some even say they can tell by the seed..lol. I tend to go with conditions are a factor leaning towards conditions can make a plant hermie. Maybe it's something to do more research on.

Certain conditions could make a hermie express themselves, when they wouldn't have otherwise.
But hermaphrodites are a gender, and gender is determined at conception.

Well i tried my absolute best to keep temp and humidity within the range, made sure to water only when necessary and used nutrients as well. Grew indoors with LED light. Nothing too big. Checked my pH weekly, made sure had air flow and no stagnant air at all. No problems with pests at all. So far everything has gone ok. Did a ton of reading and researching before i started. Had a mess up with the light timer once. Still learning every day.

Thanks for everyone’s input. Puff puff pass to y’all. This is a lot of fun to learn about. Can’t believe its going this well for my first grow

Just trying to think bigger. If that’s really the case would you be to possibly identify a seed as male, female, hermie? Or even once it breaks the seed shell in seedling stage?

No stress, you did everything you could. Wasn't you, it was the individual seed.

You reap what you sow.
