Change what time the lights come on

Hi all

I have my lights for my flowering plant come on at 830pm and then go off at 830am I did it this way because I figured it was best to have the lights off during the hottest part of the day..

I'm running the CFL bulbs

My question is can I change the time the lights come on? It's a pain in the ass waiting until 830pm to open the cabinet and also a pain trying to get out before 830am on the weekends. Is there a way to change the time with out upsetting my flowering plant...

The plant has been in flower for a month and still has very small buds so I'm thinking it's still 6-8 maybe more weeks away from harvest.

Any advise would be great. Thanks

just my 2cents i've tried this on my current flowering grow a LONG time ago since i had no timer at the time. no issues. just make sure when your switching em your not doing it all the time. i only did it once pretty sure it wont reveg after just 1 cycle of over 12+ hours. just my opinion though

Just make sure your dark cycle is the longer one. If you have to leave them off 24 hrs, so be it. Just don't leave the light on longer than 12hrs.

It's fine. Extend the dark period up to your new phase.im the same as you with avoiding the heat only my times 11-11 so I have enough time on weekends to do maintenance
Bingo. Won't hurt your plants at all to give them extra dark for a day to get them into the lighting schedule you need them to be.

Similar situation here, halfway through 12/12 and need to move from 08:30-20:30 to 20:30-08:30 as it's started getting super hot.

Which is a better way to go about it without causing any stress, imbalance or undesirable outcome. One hour advancement per day or keeping the lights off for 24 hours?

it's always less stressful to extend the dark period.

I’ve had flowering plants in dark for a whole day due to power outage and they threw bananas right soon after. Extra dark is not as likely to stress as much as extra light but it’s stress without a doubt. Completely unnatural to suddenly have twice the dark period. Some guys seem to get away with it. Others not so lucky
