Hi I was thinking to add to my quantum board knock off 3000k from kingbrite - its the Kingbrite_480w_Samsung_qb288_v2_lm301b_
So I have a 4x4 tent and as the above doesn't quite cover the tent I was thinking of adding 2 of the following from digikey - SI-B8VZ91B20WW
Current - Test 2.24A
Temperature - Test 65°C
Voltage - Forward (Vf) (Typ) 46V
Lumens/Watt @ Current - Test 168 lm/W
Current - Max -
CRI (Color Rendering Index) 80
Viewing Angle -
Features With Connector
Size / Dimension 1120.00mm L x 39.80mm W

Could some kind soul tell me what driver I would need to run these please ? Opinions as to if this is just a waste of time/cash adding these on are also welcome....I'm just trying to think of when my girls are bigger and the whole tent is not quite fully lit...

You can certainly run these on the edges for an extra 100watts each. Which is what they tested it at.
You need to know what wattage you want to add to the tent for these strips before choosing anything.

But FYI those are quite expensive strips and you'd be a lot better off using 4 or even 8 (if you were gonna get 2 of the others at $55/ec) of cutters 22" SolStrips on each edge of your fixture. Way better lm/w.

That you would use an HLG-***H-48A for.
Just need to know what wattage you're alotting to the extra strips

I can't get the cutter ones as im in uk and i doubt cutter ship here. I also noted that I have made an error in choice of strip anyway as I wanted 3500k so i could mix with what i already have in the tent.
As for how many extra watts .....i was more aiming towards coverage with appropriately dimmed lights rather than try to max out the wattage on anything in there.
I will check later when it's lights on what my "max" wattage is - i have it turned down to 200w just now as my girls are 2 weeks old....but loving the light.

Ah ok I was thinking 200w would go well in my tent with what's already there.
OK. So an hlg-185h-48A.
Wire each strip in parallel meaning each strip has its own connection to the positive and negative wires of the driver. Just split it in to 2 strings and vua lah.

Don't think im not greatful for your input..I really am. Do you think there is a cheaper solution @3500k just to supp what I already have?
At the end of the day I just go on what others say - 30-50w per square foot...most saying 32..ish. The kit I have does about 500w at wall so say about 450 @ 100% so approx 350 dimmed to the low 70%'s....that leaves me short of 150w @ 100% driven....say i would like to drive soft then it would make sense to opt for an extra 200w+

Please do correct me if im wrong or point me in a direction that would make more sense for what im trying to achieve.

Not very well. I'm on day 8 of an order. Itll minimum of 12 days before they could possibly ship. His site shows in stock. He apparently doesnt have possession of the strips. It shouldnt take this long to ship parts. I have 900 dollar order that's gonna take a month to get. I'm very disappointed. He needs to post on his site that he doesnt have the stuff. That he orders it from somewhere else then ships. Ot took a week just to get an invoice to even order them. I'm lookn at 5 weeks to get something that shows in stock.

cheaper solution @3500k
Arrow electronics. Bridgelux EB series 560mm 3500K. part # = BXEB-l0560z-35e2000-C-B3
20V strip. Get a Meanwell HLG-185H-C1050 driver for series, max of 9 strips, or a HLG-185H-20A for paralell, then you could add a 10th strip for balance...
200+ watts on either setup.
The heatsinkless wonder strip.

I assume at 1050MA, you'll be getting around 3,000+/- lumens so 30,000 with 10 & 200watts. Not bad.
90,000-100,000 lumens for 600watts in a 4X4 is about as much as you could ask for.
I think qbs can get to 90,000 with a little over 500watts.
