New mini split doesn't seem to be working right

Ya man I'm keeping it on auto. One thing I noticed is my R.humidity is not as low as I'd like, so I think I'm going to have to turn the dehu on. I thought the mini would work somewhat as a dehu when the ac was on so I wouldn't have to use my dehu. My the humidity in my room was near 70%. I do have to check my digital thermometer though, cause it felt really dry and cool in the room not 70% rh. By the way renfro is you member name taken for Brad Renfro, the late great young actor who lost his life to soon?

watch the rh while the Ac is in cooling mode is it low ? Does the rh spike when the room has reached the set point and Ac has turned off ? It could be because the Ac is short cycling . I could be wrong but from my understanding you want the Ac running while lights on . Not on off on off . It could mean the Ac is under load and you may add another light . More than a half ton of wiggle room may be too much.

A minisplit shouldn't short cycle because it isn't just on or off. The way they are designed they can work just as hard as they have to in order to maintain temps, thus eliminating the short cycling issue, especially in auto cool mode.
As far as the humidity issue, it sounds like a dehu is in order as the need for dehumidification is exceeding the need for cooling. This will help with the RH% when the lights are off too. Ambient humidity plays a lot in the RH issue also, regardless of a sealed room. I learned that when I moved to colorado. I rarely need a dehumidifier now but I had to have them all the time in missouri where it was way more humid. Now I have to use swamp coolers to add humidity most of the time.
Is your ac still working right mine had same issue as you were having this morning but I already cut that jumper so not sure it's the same solution. Has me kinda nervous like maybe I didn't go big enough on ac 24000 BtU for 4k de hps. I already made a new thread but figured I'd ask you since you and same issue
