So with all the bullshit, all the investigations, all the shitty cabinet appointments, all the crooked deals, now he's got the DOJ trying to completely kill the Affordable Health Care Act in its entirety.

The move, if successful, will kick over 20 million Americans off of health insurance.

On the bright side, it's a gift for Democrats. Now, once again, they are all that stands between most Americans having insurance or going completely bankrupt or dying the next time they get sick.

Well done, Trump.

That's insane. It's almost like he hates all of you :( Sorry man... can't imagine going broke for healthcare. I get MRI's and spine-shots for free - don't spend a dime. Nobody does. In fact, since I have to travel so far, the expenses are tax deductible. It's not perfect up here, but at least we don't lose the house over having babies or needing emergency care.

Sometimes people have to get hurt to wake up.

Everybody who wanted 'change' so fucking bad is getting it. Right up the ass.

Maybe this will help you get through these times. Just a catchy little tune to sing while in the shopping aisles, or hospital - or anywhere you find yourself... I've been singing it for a couple of years now... ;-)

You guys are hilarious
I gotta hand it to you for keeping such a creative sense of humour amidst all the craziness.
It's hard to watch, and it turns out we're not immune to the nutbars creeping out of their caves up here either.
It also turns out we’re not immune to going bankrupt over health issues. We do have health insurance (we pay for it btw) but many do not have any coverage for meds so they are left to buy food or meds but not both. Is it better than the States? I think it is but no expert on the coverage costs south of the border. Not complaining but just a few considerations.

Can you explain what a Federal Judge's decision has to do with Trump?
well, why do you think that judge reached that decision? do you think it was because that one individual thought it was the right thing to do? or do you think it was because they were told to do so, so that this very situation could occur?
there may be a small chance it was one person doing what they thought was the right thing...but if so, that one person thinks that the right thing to do is to deny healthcare to millions of Americans who cannot otherwise afford it...so, either way, that guy is a motherfucking cocksucker...and trump is another for using this to try to fuck over more Americans...
someone explain to me how it's a better idea to give rich assholes a tax cut than it is to help poor people get basic health care and be able to afford medicine they need

From an unrelated thread, but sums it up nicely:

"Survival of the Fittest" is an inapt description of natural selection. In fact, the phrase was not originally coined by Charles Darwin, but by the "Laissez Faire" rightwing economist Herbert Spencer. The phrase was included in early versions of On The Origin, but not in later versions due to Darwin's acceptance of Peter Kropotkin's prevalent arguments regarding evolution.

The former notion of "Survival of the Fittest" went on to be a cliche used primarily by racists and purveyors of the pseudoscience known as "Social Darwinism" to which the famous naturalist never ascribed. Funny how you'd use such an argument to support the notion that the white race is rightful in its brutality. However, you are 100% wrong in your assertion regarding nature. This is to be expected when you paraphrase a rightwing economist instead of a naturalist.
Social Darwinism, that’s what drives Trump and the GOP. It fits his policies and rethoric perfectly. In their eyes, the blind, autistic, disabled, sick, poor and refugees are just weak sinners who shouldn’t drag the rest down. While I’m all for carrying your own weight, Social Darwinism is an opposing force of compassion and solidarity for fellow Americans and humans in need. It’s the same poison that fooled so many regular Germans into believing they were ubermensch and should kill ‘subhumans’.
