Super Mites

I've read about the crazy resistant little buggers but in the past I've been easily able to knock them down and thought it was just people not properly taking care of things. But this mite I have now has survived everything I've thrown at it. I've contemplated throwing everything out but I have a pretty amazing strain I don't want to lose. They came on a few clones I got from someone .I even dipped in floramite as a precaution as soon as I got them.

What I've tried:
Avid- useless like spraying water
Floramite- slows them a tiny bit but not for long
Forbid- Did nothing.... ( I ordered this from fleabay) came in a little vile, maybe fake?
Azamax this is not cheap and just slowed them.

Besides just giving in and tossing everything, anyone have any tricks up their sleeves?

Predator mites will destroy them but it takes time.

That is what creates supermites..not totally eradicating them with a treatment(s), resulting in the offspring of the surviving mites having some level of immunity. In situations like this where the go-to treatments aren't an option or aren't doing enough, you have to take a multi-fauceted approach. One ingenius way you can make mite's lives difficult is to (assuming your plant isn't in flowering), is to keep a high RH and continually spray your plants with water. Mites will actually absorb and absorb and absorb h2o until they burst (if what I've read is correct, wouldn't stake my life on it). Obviously don't do this if you've less than adequate ventilation or have/have had a mold issue. Have you tried pyrethrin based products? It isn't exactly as natural as neem oil, but it is far more toxic to mites and is actually what is commonly used for pets to eradicate fleas (and for almost any bug issue in plants). You will have to apply treatments from multiple categories of options and hit them with it all at the same time to finish them off. Best of luck to you, buddy!

I was thinking about something in the pyrethrum family as well. Has anyone used Bifenthrin?

Ok that's good! At this point, I'd start trying to find treatments you haven't tried...I wish I could be of more help here but I'm really not a bug expert. Perhaps you could try a combination of Spinosad and a Pyrethrin based product? Coupled with keeping a high RH and frequent misting all over your plant. You can disrupt their lives some just by taking a wet paper towel every single day and wiping down top and underside of every single leaf on your plant.

First you should identify the type of mite. Then figure it out. If you are in veg, just order some predator mites, they will take care of it

Just rock the DE and kill them all within a week. Fuck chemicals and sprays that they become resistant to.

De is dry powder and they hang out under the leaves...maybe hang them upside down mist them with water than sprinkle them with DE . This so the DE sticks to the leaves.

If you want to use DE as insecticide, you mix it in water and mist it on.

The proper way, lol the way I do it I mean, is a paste and lather the stalk and petioles. Mist the leaves, top and under, then dust. Dust the top of the medium.

Then, just dust once a day for 7 days. Wear gloves and s mask and turn off fans when you do it.

It ALWAYS works when done right.
