Typing on your keyboard

I never could get my 10 fingers to work like how they teach you in keyboarding class. I think my fingers are just adapted to having tools in them. I just use my index fingers and thumbs. I guess they call it "hunt and peck." As opposed to the traditional "Touch typing". I guess its frowned upon but I think its just fine for me. What are your thoughts and opinions?

I had the lowest mistake rate in my HS typing class.

And the lowest words per minute to go with it.

I knew I wasn't going to be a secretary, but the class was full of helpful girls.

I still can't get over their 60-70 WPM without looking. I'll bet they wouldn't drive like that.

Works just fine for me. When I’m on here I type with one thumb..

I used to be able to do over 40 wpm with a 2 handed hunt and peck method back in grade school. Then in high school they made us do it the "correct" way and it took me almost a full year to get back there. Now I do a combo if I'm on a physical keyboard. I prefer a digital swipe keyboard though.

I was on the university prep course arc but all girls had to take typing. Turned out I enjoyed typing and excelled at it. Even today I can do an easy 105 on an electronic keyboard, not having to pay a service to type a thesis and typing assignments without having to write them saved so much time! I got better grades too because my execrable handwriting was removed from consideration.

I used to have excellent penmanship. I found some old school reports of mine in the attic not too long ago and was impressed with how well it looked. It's still better than most people I know but compared to back then it's turned into chicken scratch.

I use a phone or tablet more than a computer now a days. I'm out of practice. When on a computer it takes me a bit to get back into pace. I can do about 60-70 words per minute.

I took keyboarding 1 and 2. There was a good program for windows back in the day. I reckon its still available. Mavis Beacon teaches typing.

My father worked for the state. Those fucking guys stole everything. They would even get stuff ordered through work just to take it home. I regret not getting in on that when I graduated high school.

I'm quicker than most with a lot of things (like ejaculation), but very slow when it comes to typing and reading. I was trained to touch type, but cannot get over 45 wpm or so. I read very slowly, too, but I retain 90%+ of it even years afterward. I think its a pretty good trade off...
