That was where I was thinking, four will drench that room. It's fully pandafilmed, so the lower canopy would really benefit from a bunch more light!a blast!! 400W HID Lights are great with good bulbs, just limited by the footprint and temps in some cases. you get (4) 100W Cobs spread across your 4' length and you will kill it
I was just watching that too .....ok cool1.4 is a little hot so be careful ... I would like to see it 0.8 or a little lower .. but very doable , a couple tea (cultured) feeds should bring it in the 300-500 ppm range ... next around of amended soil im gonna keep it real simple and only do one shot , and do what Scott said to do on the latest viewer questions .. gonna do a 70/30 mix of amended soil /fresh soil....
oh most definitely ..thanksDefinitely a little hot for seed starting, pop seeds in a light mix and transplant into the recycled, just hit the transplant with a simple 6.4 Herc flush when you water them in. Plus it will give your recycled soil another 3-4 weeks to finish composting. You will also have greater mycorizhal infection with a lighter seed mix.
Yeah the Tim McCormick recycle method does have a lot of parts, I just cut them way back to an 1/8- 1/4 strength.......biochar only needs to be added to any soil just once in its life, and I only use a 1/3 Cup of bokashi and malted barley per cubic foot, about 4 Cups homemade castings, and when it comes to the One Shot(nutrient ammendments) I just cut into the total one shot and lower it so I can get crab, frass and alfalfa to join the party. I apply more basalt Rock dust too. I'm loving the results, usually runs 6.8 and 900-1200 ppm, the only thing I've had to change in my schedule is the Zues juice.....it took some trials but once I decided to cut out Zues completely, it became a powerful soil mix with microbes doing most of the work.....I think the Zues was creating micro toxicities because the recycled soil is starting to release the rock minerals via microbes that can take 6 months or more to be available, along with the castings and humics created by the microbes in a healthy well fed soil, there is no limiting factors and Zues not needed. By no means do I recommend everyone stop using Zues, I just found that for my method its not needed and more throws a wrench in my plants uptake. I also want to add that I foliar a lot and some foliars can fullfill a plants micro needs for a week before needing another dose. Nectar has become more of a desert in my garden, a fixer, and an all around wrench for any nut!!1.4 is a little hot so be careful ... nice indeed ....Just chopped my girls last night, gonna try a dry trim this time since my first three grows I did wet trim. Hoping to yield 6.5-7 ounces total. Some of the lower nugs totally weren't finished, but I was starting to see Amber trichromes on the top nugs so I had to call it. This was 62 days flowering, pretty long for indica dominant strains.
I've cranked by inline fan down to a lower setting, and cut off the clip on fans. Probably somewhere around 200CFM if I had to guess.
Next grow is going to be outdoor, last frost date is May 6th for me, probably going to run 6-10 plants. but next indoor grow I am buying a 5x5 tent and building LED samsung LM561C strips. The LEDs I have right now are good for vegging but the spectrum and coverage for flowering is garbage.
And what I realize for this grow I just did is that I should have toned down the nutes when I switched to flowering. My plants handled the high end doses of nutes very well while I was vegging, but I think my soil was oversaturated by the time I flipped to 12/12. Possibly had some lockout. But next grow I'll be starting with (almost) the entire line, rather than picking up bottles from the store and adding them sporadically throughout the grow. That being said I'm okay with how this grow turned out. Could have been better, but this bud is for myself and my family members which is good enough for us. I keep learning more and more though.
Damn....630W on seedlings.....that's a lot light for babies!! How far up is it? Humic acid can twist leaves like that, when I have wet feet they normally just stay weepy.starting new ... looks like one got a little wet feet ... there 2 weeks old .... these are under the 630w ....
light up all the way ..... there taking it pretty good .....aww I should of known added a little zeus to the very lite mix... ill leave it out next watering ... very lite I mean 1 ml per qt....Damn....630W on seedlings.....that's a lot light for babies!! It could be a combination of Zues and the heat wave? Might just be sensitive to abrupt changes........the new growth is looking GRADE A now, gotta love learning the nuances of a new strain.light up all the way ..... there taking it pretty good .....aww I should of known added a little zeus to the very lite mix... ill leave it out next watering ... very lite I mean 1 ml per qt....
think im getting the temps under control ...will see.. heights it got was 81.......I also did slurries ..the one with the funky leafs has a ppm 170 /ph 6.6 ...other with no issue has a ppm 320 / ph 6.6 these are in a fresh #4 soil ... for shits and giggles I pop beans on the same 2 strains , 1 is in the tent with the 315 and other is in 4x4 with the 630.... but so far these girls are loving it ....It could be a combination of Zues and the heat wave? That all sounds great, I would hold off for another week or so with the Terp tea, top dress that Bus now and throw a cup of it in the 24 hr bubbled biochar and drench....I'm assuming the biochar is "Earthshine"? What was your last slurry??....being only 2 days into flip, the plant is going through a massive hormonal change and isn't quit ready for an abrupt food change, Just keep to late Veg regimen and start building Herc & Aminos! The plant will be looking to stretch first before she ready to set sites.....the stretch creates the sites, BK controls it, then she is ready to start taking more calphos up to set & build!! So on your TEA day, TopD Bu & do the bubbled biochar/Bu's and get her eating more and more HERC and Aminos and try to foliar BK at least 2-3 times over the next 7 days and watch her stretch while all the bud sites below the main colas are activated and triggered to become more significant flowers!! Now that all the sites are created, hit them with the Terp tea to set them in and finish stacking! The key is getting her eating the HERC, its the constant, then using Teas/Top D at right times.IrieRoots you got me a lil freaked out now with this bio-char ,id like to add it to the plants I just put in flower (2days ago)but I'm not sure of the ratios HELP lol ...my plan was to top dress with Bu's blend compost mixed with biochar bubbled for 24 hrs then i add terp tea (3-7-4 ) at the end of the brew...if you have a better top dress recipe to set the flower sites that's what I'm trying to do...hope the makes sense to you
