they work, which is what counts. i use heavy duty ones to run my lights, but they never are in more than 15 minute increments. to run anything for shorter periods than that you need to go digital...

Just keep a few on hand. They are cheap and if one dies you can swap it out right away.

Not true at all. Use a Titan Controller.

Yes, water heater timers are a must for the big lights and any 240v (dual phase) application. Bought a cheap timer that was supposed to do 240v. Stupid thing only switched one phase and I nearly burned up a nice digital ballast.

Turns out the other settings left at default did fuck me. Idk how long the night cycle was interrupted last night, i just know it may have. 3rd week of flower... how fucked am i guys??? Lol

still three times the price...you use one? how long has it lasted now? the cheap digitals i linked have been running close to three years now, for 12 bucks a piece

I can almost guarantee it's of higher quality than the $4 harbor freight ones I've used for 3 years straight.

Not much can go wrong with them besides an arc, and if that does happen, you'll know about it.

there is single phase and 3 phase power, the latter being pretty uncommon in non-commercial installations

240VAC is always single phase in US, even in a 480/240 system
