Cupdate time my party cup homies. My choosen one looks still nice and healthy, no Mg deficits anymore, reduced to 640ppm, still Maxibloom, epsom salt and liquid silicone.

The leaf petioles already start to turn their color into a nice redish purple. That's from the bluedream part and I hope she gets as colorful as the first one I've tried last year. Se is 19,5" today and the stretch is almost done. She has started to form the first trichomes and I can smell her already.

So, lets start with side, top and bottom view and the word of the week..View attachment 4297002 View attachment 4297003 View attachment 4297004

With all light on they get slightly more than 60.000lx currently which means ~850μMol/s/m² in the center. Average should be around 700 or so.

First trichomes and the redish petioles. No P deficit cause the main stem is still nice and green..

An also the other two girls are still alive.
No2 has slightly more sativa genetic and

No3 seems to have a little more indika. She still shows some Mg deficits on the older leaves but its stopped so no need to remove them.

That's it for now!
I suggest you get dressed warmly cause she looks already like a classic beauty you could put on the high times magazine cover.

Blue dream yields like a motha. I had a hso bluedream seed I was thinking of popping too LOL. Nice choice.

Yupp, HSO Bluedream (sative pheno) grows like crazy and yields easily 4-5zips in 5gal pots that's why I crossed her with my favored Amnesia genetic (HyPro). The heterosis effect is not as strong in this AxBD strain but he's still there and the plants grow strong and exceptionally well. The extra blue from the additional 5k strips directed on the stems has caused extremely short internodes in veg. I've not tried it before but it worked out so well that I think about installing two pure blue strips at the height of the seedlings. The only LST that I did was halve some of the upper leaves on No1 and at No3 I've tied down the main stem. Nothing else! With No2 I've done no LST training and she developed 5 equal mains. Impressive effect!
Seems my 1st coco adventure will be a success.
And the yellow-belly in me had imaginated getting the worst problems, lol, but in fact it has never been so easy to keep my plants happy. Since I've lowered the ppm's a bit and have added even more epsom salt to the mix the Mg issues are also solved. Thanks again for this tipp!

My last 2 - five gallon plants yielded 10 zips of copper chem and 8 zips of orange blossom special. Pics of the plants are in the gps thread or I can post pics here if anyone wants to see them. Current plants hopefully will do that much in 3.5 gallon buckets.
@Randomblame please don't think I am putting you down. I am honestly in awe of your cup grow!

Yeah I wasnt dogging it. Blue dream real deal bd yields like crazy. A decent grower with it in a 5gal should pull alot more weight than 4 to 5. And as you can see by @Randomblame solo cup. He can grow. He should be pulling more than that. And everyone knows hes got the lighting and experience to do it. I was jus giving reference that i can pull more than 5 from #2s. He should be getting more. If not something else has to be outta wack.

Yeah, was just an example. Should have mentioned soil and a 3 week veg. Pretty sure she can do similar yields cause BD is really a beast. Just did not want to exaggerate...
And no probs, BGT! I'm not offended, there is always room for improvements. And a few pics or just a link to the copper chem/orange blossom pics should not bother anyone. Others have done similar with no probs.
Do you still use the DIY strip cloak?

Yes, I am still using my DIY strips (around 800 watts total) with 3 far red pucks (15 minutes at lights off). Here is the Copper Chem at harvest, the Orange Blossom Special is behind it. Of note: these were grown in 5 gallon hempy buckets in straight perlite. The blumats were used to just drip like regular drippers, not sensing moisture and auto watering.

The OBS was a bit larger but the CC out yielded it (10 oz. vs 8 oz.). This is a 5x5 tent running 4 plants usually. I don't pay attention to how long I veg for, but it's quite a while. When my vegging plants reach the ceiling of my veg area (about 2' tall), I put the plant into the flower tent. The OBS plant there is about 40" tall and the CC was about 36" before the weight of the nugs spread out the canopy.

How much nutrient solution do you go through running drain to waste like that?

Beautiful plants everyone:clap:
Here is my weekly Sunday update.

I've lost the first set of single leaves and few more are on their way out. She seems hungry but I was trying to take it easy with the ferts. Mixed some grow big, big bloom and Cal/mag and sprayed her up this morning. Hopefully it delays the sadness.
I also removed some tiny bud sites down below. I'd say lower 40% has no sites

Here's some more shots

And allow me to introduce Caitlyn. You know her type: mini skirt, high heels, and topless laying under your car changing your oil. Or roofing your house. Too bad she used to be a man and still weighs 250 pounds!

Don't mind the white spots - those were caused by overcrowding of the birdcage so some leaves were touching the leds.

Game on! Time for the birdcage magic to happen.

Edit - I realized the side view didn't have this week's word so here is another pic of Caitlyn in her happy place.

Nice! Yeah, id imagine keeping them green is difficult in straight perlite. Nice work.
Been dying to drop my PebblePusher & PeaceMaker.
Looks like most poeple are happy with GPS & their genetics.
Most ive pulled was 12oz in 5's. I view 5's as 8-12oz usually.
Reminds me, i have a 1/4 mile of Cloak sitting in my basement. Damn, What a waste of an awesome system.
This is the same seed stock that my cuppie puppy is. So, anythings possible. Just gotta warm it up in here. Got a seed mat but thats dangerous with the fastvroot dry.20190310_180555.jpg
