First Grow

Awesome thanks I did notice a stunt in growth about a week or so ago over watering in the sense of to frequently is what you believe happened? If so that makes sense to me I've tried the lifting the pot method and I am starting to get a hang of it or so I thought. sometimes I get worried they will get to dry when I leave for work if there already kinda dry and will just water to be safe. Loving the examples just goes to show how resilient these plants are. Hopefully next week I will have a better handle on my watering.

How much weight on average can you pull from your 6x3?

Our current consumption is about 7ish grams every week or two but will increase once we get a stock of our own home grown. Were trying to conserve right now.

Again thanks for the advice much appreciated!

No problem man! Yeah, most likely your watering was stressing the plants a bit.. just start giving a good drench every 5 or 6 days, and you should be good! And don't over feed!! Half stength is usually optimal in soil grows. I've pulled about a 0.75 pounds the last couple grows, which is excessive for me and my lady, and we smoke everyday. I usually end up giving a couple zips away to friends each run... :hump::hug::eyesmoke::eyesmoke:

Ok will do and I'll start to increase feeding I was giving them about a quarter of the recommended. I did the transplant on the cbd today and gave it a good watering till I saw some run off not sure if it was exactly 20% may have been more I will have to get a better feel for that. I will post photos below they were taken about 5 or 6 hours after watering and the soil was wet but not muddy and there was little to no dry spots and humidity improved quite a bit from low 40s now sitting at 73%

Lost cost hash pant no water soil still felt moist a bit and bag was somewhat heavy20190309_195858.jpg 20190309_195940.jpg 20190309_200136.jpg 20190309_195923.jpg psw#2 watered with 6l ph'ed to 6.5 and 3ml of bio thrive

Nice- they look pretty good! Let them get thirsty before you give any more water. Let the roots breath, and grow in search of water! I use a beer pitcher and 5gal buckets. I just cycle through the pots, giving about 1/2 pitcher to each as i go. This last run, twelve 3gal pots, i used 15gals (three buckets) of water each time i watered. This got the soil completely saturated, and then as you use the last of the water, it pretty much runs/pushes straight through the growth medium. That run-through helps do a minor "flush" each time, and helps keep your soil's chemistry balanced (avoids nutrient and salt buildup). The key is to get em wet, and then let em dry out. :)

Awesome thats a lot of water do you use well water or are you on city? I have well water comes out of the tap usually at around 8.4ph I will keep you posted on progress going to be putting the net up tomorrow!

I use city water, but it's really clean here- ~200ppm but ph is also high here at about 8. My nutes line auto buffers pretty well though. Using foxfarms main trio and camag mostly

Sounds good I've been wondering about calmag I have it but haven't fed my plants any. I thought possibly because I'm on well water it would have enough secondary and macro nutrients haven't had any deficiencies that I can tell so far aside from what I believe to have been a nitrogen deficiency in the dinamed cbd about 2 weeks ago not sure what my ppm from tap is. We do have a water softener but I dont think it's working the best these days.

Also I put up the net but didn't realize the one I bought is made out of an elastic type material so I'm thinking for my next run I'll just make my own out of some scrap wood from work and some butchers twine.

Nice! Yeah, i have no experience with using hard (and subsequently softened) well water. Keep an eye on your upper stems, and if they start to turn dark purple, give some calmag.

20190314_173004.jpg just a quick update watered purple Skywalker #1 (back left)on Tuesday 4l with 4ml bio thrive ph'ed to 6.4
The other plants are dry on surface but soil below is still moist
As for the pre flowers looks like it was just a new branch forming.
And I'm getting some purple on leaf stems so I will give them some calmag next time I water and feed

The two at the back are 49 days from seed
And the two front ones are 46 days from seed

The dinamed cbd front left is still legging behind

20190323_111559.jpg 20190323_111607.jpg 20190323_111619.jpg purple Skywalkers are 57 days from seed and the two front plants dinamed cbd and the lost cost hash pant (on the right) are 54 days from seed. All plants seem happy aside from the cbd. I decided today would mark the last day of veg. Plants really seemed to like the light defoliation I've been doing also allowing more time in between watering (I think this helped the most).

How do you think about reflector 96? I wanted to try it but Mars guys recommend me pro II series.
Their new lights look very nice. Very similar with quantum board.

Honestly I'm probably not the best person to ask as I'm new to growing however if I could go back I probably would have got an electric sky 300 or an hlg light there 300w series. This light hasn't given me any troubles but from my research cheap leds are out performed by hps.
