Same here mine are starting to break had to use a bit of gorilla tape on a few that fell overMine are at the exact same stage and I’m up in the air about harvesting. I think I’ll go until next weekend just to be safe. The branches are starting to fall over though I had to add a poll yesterday to stop one from breaking View attachment 4293319
I'd call that the beginning of the window for sure. You could wait another week though if your not in a hurry. The last week or so you wont see any visible changes but they are packing on weight! They are good to go but you may gain another 15% or so by waiting.I have a gorilla cookies at 9 weeks. I can’t decide if I should harvest yet. What do y’all think? The trichomes look ready but the stigmas don’t so I’m not sure.

Thank you!look amazing!!!
Can I ask were you basing your judgment on stigmas?Well nothing you can do about it now. Still lots of white hairs. Another week to ten days would have been better but don't worry about that now. Dry it slow. You'll still get some bud. Patience is a virtue.
I always wait a week once I think it's done.
that is what my judgement would be based off. i don't harvest if i can see any white hairs. especially on top colas. Can I ask were you basing your judgment on stigmas?
The reason I asked was this was the second time all stigma curled in then the next day it was full of more stigmas and I chopped.that is what my judgement would be based off. i don't harvest if i can see any white hairs. especially on top colas.
the more white hairs at harvest the hairier the bud will look when dried. and youll get all the orange hairs at the bottom of the jars. to me this is usually a sign i harvested early.
your trichomes are def cloudy though so as long as your buds look/smell the way you like i'm sure they'll pack a punch! nice job!
Yes. The last picture you posted shows a ton of new pistils. Can I ask were you basing your judgment on stigmas?
Your plant looks lovely, nice and frosty so hopefully it gives you a good result when its dried.
Personally, I would have waited 14-20 days. Obviously, if things changed overnight I would adjust my plans, but I also try to avoid harvesting plants with white stigma. These plants have a pretty typical maturation process, that most plants will follow. Every so often you get a weird phenotype or plant that acts strange but it's not that common from what I've seen.
Stigma turn red and receed, and buds stop outward development for the most part. Then over the following 10-20 days the plants ripen and internally swell and pack on weight. Usually the bracts will visibly swell if you look nice and close. So when you guys have branches that are falling over, that is a good sign that they are adding to your yield those last 2-3 weeks. Then through this ripening process the trichomes can be checked and final harvest decided on.
I havn't looked at trichomes in years, because the test of the plant tells me when its time. It doesn't matter how many days its been or weeks, some plants grow fast some slow. It all depends on the genetics and the environment.
Also it should be noted that flowering time starts when you see flowers forming!!! Not at 12/12 switch. It takes 7-21 days typically for plants to transition to flower production and counting that time will give you a false sense of when your plants are finishing.
Thank you for the reply and sharing your knowledge I have a few more plants so I will follow the advice you all gave again thank youYour plant looks lovely, nice and frosty so hopefully it gives you a good result when its dried.
