Tons of Garbage Weed this Year Rant?

I manage a grow supply store here in northern Michigan and I notice a lot of new customers coming in with the legalization of recreational cannabis. While its great that business expands, I feel a lot of people are going to lose their investment or get a terrible end product. This terrible end product will most likely flood the markets and kill prices for the people trying to survive by selling quality cannabis.

I feel this way because a lot of new people coming in have absolutely no idea how to grow anything, and are even more lost when it comes to growing marijuana. They have not even done a simple google search of 'Basic Indoor Cannabis Setup' or 'Growing Cannabis' or 'Cannabis Grow Guide'. These people raised with screens strapped to their faces have not figured out how to google search?

One customer actually believed it was almost like a fruit you pick from a tree and it regrows. Another had 5 plants in a window planter under a 2 bulb t5 and was pissed when I told them there not going to get what they invested in back. What little that was. People get even more infuriated when I tell them how long it takes to get to harvest.

I also noticed that most weed growers believe they are the best weed growers in their area. A few customers spend as much as the other 95% combine and the lesser 95% all believe they are the biggest fish in the pond. You should always be confident about your product but these guys take it to the extreme.

Is this just my area or is it like this everywhere its legal?

It seems like when it was just medical and illegal growers they appreciated the process more and studied before every decision. Getting hard to see this now. A lot more infected clone trading also, resulting in our pest and disease control sales to rise. Green Cleaner and Root Cleaner selling well.

I am compelled to compose and transmit the following articles of inquiry.

To bolded 1: Lose their investment? Tell me, how many people see what return on their investment, and by what mechanism? I am obviously excluding "grow weed to sell" since this tactic does not conform to the concept of investment in the classical, indeed the canonical sense. I am also quite confident that you aren't reducing yourself to standard sales-troll's cant by positioning the speculative spending of money as "investing". Hey buddy wanna great deal on a time-share?!? You know the pitch. So by what mechanism do people actually, traceably, IRS-Form-8960 invest in the brave new world of legal cannabis?

to bolded 2: This suggests that those who ARE spending the 95% (do you carry the AN line? Attaboy.) are the big fish in the pond. This sounds suspiciously like saying the big spenders are the grow champs. I KNOW you wouldn't actually say anything so brazenly self-interested as "they're keeping me in boat payments". After all there is a rudimentary code of good conduct among even those who use T&T with NOOOO history here at all to slyly and deniably promote their business. (It's called TOS. Read it.)

That last paragraph elegantly praises the new, ignorant breed of grower. The diagnostic phrase is " ... resulting in our pest and disease control sales to rise".

See what I mean about investing? It seems like you've invested wisely and are bullish on stupid people. So transfer that market savvy to bolded 1 and explain this investment thing to me. I got $67 just languishing in my Schwab account, and I am oh so excited to start turning stupid into profit. It is the new alchemy, after all. You're a visionary, man, a real visionary. I believe 1!1 Where do I sign up??1?

One things for sure. There's going to be a lot of cheap hardly used grow equipment for sale. For a long time here in Michigan. The Michigan Green Rush is on!
