Better lights compared to my current ones?

i am running a 2000watt King Plus LED; was debating on buying a tent first but i forgot i had to deal with the bullshit when it comes to shipping fee's so basically it will cost me the price of the tent+ another tent just for shipping fee's so say tent costs $200 then i'd have to pay around $200 more just to ship it. nobody here sell tents and i rather not build one so i might opt for new and better lights.

the king plus LED i use states 395 actuall wattage. it's made in china blurples though so i do NOT trust that 395 actual draw.

i am looking at cobs/quantum boards because i just am tired of the blurples personally and want something more light weight as the frames over these blurples add a lot of useless weight imo.

what i am currently looking at are 1. HLG quantum board https://growerslights.com/collections/horticulture-lighting-group-quantum-board-led-kits/products/horticulture-lighting-group-320-watt-xl-quantum-board-led-kit?variant=8194656567397

probably the 3k so i can flower under um as well maybe the 4k one idk if that would be more ideal for flowering + veg.

or 2. Electric sky the wideband one. https://thegreensunshineco.com/product/electric-sky-es300-grow-light/?_vsrefdom=googleads&wickedsource=google&wickedid=306019437738&wtm_term=&wtm_campaign=1611072472&wtm_content=56412374330&wickedplacement=&wickedkeyword=&gclid=CjwKCAiAqt7jBRAcEiwAof2uK0y8V1yUpv3Lk7V98YHXIrOFiGtiOWdvFpYDzCZCiex6OHfOe1nRbRoCPsoQAvD_BwE

i only have enough for 1 light. i am open to other suggestions. i only grow 3 plants currently i would like to bump it up to 4 eventually. space i grow in is a 2x6x9 i can go up to a 2x12x9 max

I’d say cmh but your in a small closet with low air exchange. So I’d stick with hlg.

yea i can't run HID's too much heat for me to handle atm. i think i will go with the HLG's they seem to produce more wattage in the end compared to the electric sky at a cheaper price as well. which one should i buy as far as spectrum goes? the one i am looking at only comes in 3k and 4k spectrums i will be using this for both flowering and veg. i read higher spectrums basically mean more blue which means better for veg and lower spectrums more reds which is better for flowering. i was wondering if i can run a 4k though and still get nice flowers over a 3k spectrum or would the 3k be a better overall spectrum?

3k start to finish is fine. Me personally though I like to veg under 6.5k of t5’s

would 4k work better then the 3k for start to finish? i am reading some old threads many suggest the 4k over the 3k stated that 3k produces longer buds where as the 4k produces frostier buds and more dence but length wise it doesn't compare to the 3k

No 3k are for flowering more so than 4K. So for overall start to finish growing one light to rule them all I’d go for 3k. All of my leds are 3k and my cmh bulbs are 3k for flowering as well.

thanks yea i don't have enough money to run one specifically for veg and one specifically for flowering. guess i'll get a 3k one depending how much they quote me on that damn tent.

I use the electric sky and I do like it but I dont have any comparison. My local shop had told me to check them out that they were going to start carrying and since I went through them I also got 20% off so that made it not hurt as much haha.

That being said I'm going to get a little hlg 100 for a 2x2 that needs an upgrade

yea i dont know many that use the electric sky just 1 person on youtube that seems to grow nice buds with i think 2 of um.

Another option would be to buy 3 of these qb 288 v1s with heat sink which are on sale at the moment in 3500k for $69 each and then picking up driver separate.
https://horticulturelightinggroup.com/collections/quantum-boards/products/qb288-v1-slate-2-single-combo
That way you would light up 2x6 space for a lot less than the $500 the 320xl cost and be able to move each independently for better light spread.
i'll look into that im not very handy when it comes to electrical stuff only computers but i know how to set up the qb's as long as everything comes with them.

Are you outside u.s. ? Is it Reason for high shipping ?
i live in Hawaii. the heavier the item the more the shipping costs. you can buy like aquariums online but the shipping is typically a bitch cause it's so heavy. last time i bought anything of considerable weight was my full atx tower. weighs about 20-30 pounds only pretty giant too in size but shipping cost for the tower was i think $100 something. the tower costed me about $200-300

I just got my first qb. It’s a 288v2 4000k. I just have seedlings under it currently, they love it. I chose 4000k because when you compare the charts side by side with the 3000k, there is very little loss of red and a substantial increase in blue. To me, it just seems like extra light without really giving up anything.

yea i've seen the 4k and 3k comparisons i really can't see much drop in the reds but the blues is noticeable. i hear a lot of people will run a 3500k spectrum instead of the 3k or 4k but the ones i am looking at dont come in 3k. i've been looking up some stuff and people say the lower the blues the more elongated the buds become and the higher the blues the more dense and packed it gets. imma probably buy the 3k one though in the end i want to buy a 5k-6k if i can find a 6k one then imma just run like a 2700k one or 3k on the flowering cycle.

im pretty sure the 4k can flower just as good with little difference but 5k maybe not. i gotta do more research before i pick which one of the 2 i'd get

The 3500K LED spectrum I have seen really look good. Check out the link and look at the spectrum chart on that page. The RED is pretty consistent between the 3500, 3000 and 2700K but the amount of blue you get as a bonus with the 3500 is nice.

nice yea i think the only way i can run a 3500k with the HLG qb's is if i build it myself seems like they are all sold out on the 3500k's though i gotta check when im not shit faced though. i dont trust myself building QB's either or buying the correct parts

damn i found the 3500k boards but they are sold out on one site that can connect it for me at a small fee the HLG site idk looks like i need a saudering iron or however you spell it. just to connect it to a dimmer device. guess imma keep looking for some stuff online maybe there is a video on how to hook it up

No soldering required, just a couple of connections using wagos. You can find plenty of help matching drivers etc , both here and at ledgardener.com
i was gonna buy the kit one it's basically just 2 boards on a bigger heat sink + the psu and a dimmer. i know how to hook up the boards to the psu but the dimmer is confusing me because it looks like something i'd have to connect via sodering. the problem with that board is it comes with 1 heat sink only. im trying to hook up at least 2-3 for a better foot print so basically in the end i'd be paying more just for the heat sinks im not going to even use then buy a bigger heat sink to fit all 3 boards. the boards themselves seem to be all sold out otherwise

imma keep checking and doing research though if i can't find a way to hook up that dimmer imma just run the 3k one for now.
