how many pints is its rated for in a damp basement u need at least a 70 pintIn the summer no matter what I do I can't get the humidity below 65%. I have a newer medium to large dehumidifier, could it just be the dehumidifier is not that good? Would a bigger one bring the humidity below 65%?
Is your basement finished? Walls, Ceiling, and vapor barriers? If not the house is soaking up the humidity.
I think its 50 pints, maybe 60... Should a dehumidifier be constantly lowering the humidity?? Like should the humidity keep going down with it running? My humidity flat lines like around 65% running non-stop.how many pints is its rated for in a damp basement u need at least a 70 pint
Not likely. Easiest solution would be to build an enclosure with plastic sheeting and strapping.Nope, not finished.. Would a bigger and better dehumidifier help?
if it flat lines at 65% u need a bigger dehuy.the bigger ones really don't use more juice because they run half the time.I think its 50 pints, maybe 60... No I have 5 tents basically in a 700 sq foot basement. Also I have (2) 8 inch vents that blow cold air off my central air unit in the basement when the AC kicks on.Are you venting?
Renfro just knows alot about alot bro, i stopped questioning how lolWhat's the best dehumidifier for a 700 sq foot basement under $250.. Renfro thanks, how do u know a lot about dehumidifiers?
Renfro how do I know that the current extension cord I have is a 12 gauge?? This extension cord is thick and says 15 amps on it, 225V, and 2150 watts. Is the extension cord good enough?? Also note the cord is only 6 ft long. The reason they say that is that most extension cords are made using only 16 gauge wire.
As long as you use a 12 gauge extension cord you should be fine, they are costly, it's often cheaper to make your own out of some #12 SJOOW of the reel at home depot and 15 amp rated plug and receptacle.
