My first Kratky

Introducing my first Kratky ... Well I've had other successful crops like eggplant, lettuce and chilli using this method but first time with weed. I hadnt intended to do this but had nowhere to put a clone. I'm being as careless as I can be to be honest just treating it the same as any other crop. I check the Res once a month and ensure the water remains in the bottom 3rd. The issue I will have eventually is keeping the level constant when it gets down to the bottom 3rd. I'm getting close and might have to install a float valve. You can see the air roots up top all fluffy... My experience with Kratky is, if these air roots become submerged they rot fast and die. There's no converting back to underwater root once they dry up. Fun little side project anyway.

You'd be amazed at the results you can achieve when using a small degree of carelesness in hydroponics. In that you're not constantly overbearing on them. Your girl is looking very well, good job for your first hydro cannabis plant!

I agree with @Logan Burke, at one point you stop babying the plants and you start treating them like a weed, then your success goes up because you are not afraid to top it or chop a branch, etc...

But I assume if you paid $20-$50 for each tomato seed, you would be just as concerned about those plants as well.

Kratky and cannabis is a good combo as long as you change out the nutrients about once a week, when they are small. As they get bigger they will drink more nutrient solution so you will be changing the nutrients out every 3-5 days.

Interesting... I've changed the Res once in 2 months and I only plan on Changing one more time. All I do is check ph and ppm to adjust accordingly.. it certainly won't yeild as much as it could with a bit more attention... But not bad for a clone that was heading to the bin.
