I think that mine are farther along than yours, but it's hard to tell. I may end up giving mine a flush this weekend and putting her in the dark for a few days. But I have been hard up for weed until recently, so this is probably the longest I have let one go.

Yep i must say, your advice about flushing her and refeeding seems to have fixed her issues, shes been packing on weight and frost ever since.

Im gonna scour my city for a loupe today, no idea what amazon did with mine

Ill prob let all of mine go to atleast the 55 day mark, so another 9 days. Thats the earliest ive ever seen this strain finish, so i expect atleast one or two will be done by then.
 
heres a silly question

once tricomes begin turning amber, is there a timeframe that the remaining tricomes will be finished within? does that even make sense? lol

It varies by strain and environment. I have had a few strains that change to all amber overnite. I had an ATF that did that and a GDP that went really fats too.

So once you see the first amber, the clock is basically started, it could be anytime after that ?

i have no idea how what ratio of ambers to milky i actually want or is really optimal, from what i have read , i dont think we want 100% amber tho correct?

You could start chopping some buds at 10% amber, some at 50% and so forth so you can see what you like.

Ya thats what @H.A.F. suggested i do, we also discussed taking each plant at a different stage of done, keeping them separate to dry and cure/store, find out which stage i enjoy most....my only issue with that is wanting the room as soon as they are done enough to chop lol...it may seem like im being impatient, i am not, i have no problem waiting until i know they are done, no chopping early in typical noob fasion lol

i am probably more nervous than anything else, ive got them this far, i dont want to mess up the last couple of crucial steps before its ready to smoke lol

How do you determine when yours are done? or do you just know the strain and days they finish?
 
Maybe stagger the harvest? Take the most mature plant and chop it down......hang, brown bag and cure or however u finish up. Wait 4-5 days and grab the most mature plant left, rinse and repeat.

Ya that looks like how its gonna go down

2 of the girls look to be close on finishing the same time, but the other 2 are further behind and def wont be done as quick as the first 2.
Ill prob take
FP1 first and at 10% amber
FP2 second at 30-40% amber

FP3 and Atomic are further behind, make decisions on those gals later,

Amber tricomes were spotted yesterday
Earliest I have seen this strain finish is 55days. So it seems I'm on pace for around then for sure. If not before

I think FP3 and Atomic will be left a little longer to be honest. They seem like they have further to go before finished

The Atomics tops are looking good, but below that is all stacked up unfinished bud, so I may open her up a bit after I get more space in the tent, or I'll open her up by taking the tops and letting the bottoms finish.

FP3 is kinda similar, she's def the bushiest of the 3 fruit punch, she's now starting to beef up and get nice and frosty, red hairs flairing up all over her buds now. But like the Atomic, everything below the very tops is very unfinished in comparison.

So I assume I'll take fp1 and fp2 around same time,they both were pruned the hardest and def have the best light penetration of the 4, their buds are looking close to as finished down low as they are up top. So once trics are where I want them to be I'll chop .

My space cookies are gonna be huge by time I flip them lol.
 
I would definitely plan on harvesting one first, just to see what you're in for. I think it's therapeutic. Last manifold, 8 limbs took about 2 hours of snipping. Probably 4 hrs total with the "fuck this" breaks after each limb ;) Did I say therapeutic? LOL
 
Have a jar of 90%+ alcohol handy in a cup or something to clean off your scissors regularly. I scrape off the goodies with a knife, but the use the alcohol to free them up again.
 
That last post almost made it sound like a case for heavy pruning, it is not

While light penetration is definitely better on the 2 that were pruned the hardest,
