It started when Johnson signed the Voting Right Act. The change was complete in 1980 when Aunt Ronnie made his "states rights" speech in Philadelphia Mississippi.

yes, i understand the difference between southern dixiecrats, and today's dems.. i also understand what was once the deep blue south and deep red north east and west coast are now the deep red south and deep blue north east.. i was trying to make a funny in the vein of what unclebaldrick was doing, saying how all dems are like , ehh, never mind..
