I had to give up on football....the whole repetitive brain injury thing
I played baseball. Pitcher. Had a 92 mph fast ball.
I got talked into trying out for football my junior year. Coach figured if I could rifle that fast ball, maybe I'd be a good passer.
So I went out for a few practices. It was a lot harder than it looked.
The first two practices was just me and a couple receivers running routes getting timing and accuracy down.
The last practice was a live one.
Third play was supposed to be a routine 20 yard down and out.
I dropped back, planted, and that's when a Mack truck hit me.
I saw sky, then earth, then sky, then earth.
That was the last time I ever took a snap.
