Whats the difference in flower feeding?

i am going to be flipping in 2 days and im reading about flowering nutes and when to use it. so far i read that some people continue to feed veg nutes during the stretch while others quickly swap to flowering nutes.

any differences between these 2 feed schedules? my theory as what i read is during the stretch the plant is focusing more on growing rather then producing buds yet so veg nutes would still be beneficial. then the site state that swapping over to higher PK basically tricks the plant into start blooming.

also i had another question. does a few extra days of veg REALLY matter when it comes to yield? i mean most i would be vegging for is 2 extra days

I think the reasoning for veg nutes is stretch is the N while plant is still growing

2 extra days of veg matters in some circumstances, ie if you just topped/supercropped/hst or transplanted, you might want to give them an extra couple days.

New toppings could use a couple extra days to let the new growth get going.

As for it increasing yield, unless it's like the topping situation I mentioned above, I don't see it helping or hindering your yield much if at all.

I feed veg nutrients for at least 2 weeks into flower then I switch to flower nutrients

so basically if i didn't top any time soon then it's basically pointless? i half ass pruned about 4-5 days ago and did LST but removed the LST. plants should of bounced back by now and it does seem like they did so basically fuck it and flip already?

If you didn’t top any in the last week or better they would be fine no sweat
2 look okay but the biggest one seems to have nitrogen toxicity not sure if thats normal coloring or just nitrogen toxicity though. newest tops growing yellowish but slowly turning dark green. my last grow the tops were golden looked like they went super saiyan and then the tops were stunted. just swapped my timer to flip though so i would get at least 16.5hours of light today but tomorrow will be 12/12

i would give them extra darkness before id give them extra light before the flip...thats just me tho

Depends what nutes you're feeding and how .eg. if you are straight hydro then keeping N In the feed is necessary until the last quarter of flower. If you have a hot soil mix then you can drop the N and let it slowly wash out. A lot.of.bloom nutes still contain trace nitrogen levels which stop the leaves from dying off fast. Stretch is building new cells rapidly and yes N is good for that. About 1mnth after flip you can look at reducing N levels more significantly. If you have signs of N toxicity and are using soil then you can probably drop it all together and perhaps give it a bump in 5 weeks to keep the green up...

growing in pro mix hp i feed every watering but low dosages. if they looking bad i just water and feed supplements that doesn't list NPK values like carb's or root rinse.

why do you do this? i see some people give um 2 days darkness but i asked about this before people said not to do this. all 3 plants already showing sex as well but i mean they are fem anyways.

Honestly the only reason I do it is because a few of the good growers I follow do.

I don't actually have a Theory or my own reason.

I Just give them extra dark before flip because they do lol

i think they do it mainly to speed up the flowering process that is what i've read for the most part. how long you keep them in the dark for? i might try this out see what happens

yes that is the reason they always give.

I kept mine in the dark for 23 hours, basicaly when the lights went off my last 18/6 day, i picked the time i wanted for my 12/12 schedule and kept lights off until 12/12 time

might give that a try see what happens lol im always trying to flip faster was planning to run bud ignitor but shit so expensive. already grew 2 grows without the dark cycle as well takes kind of longer to produce buds or go into stretching decent stretches though
