pretty sure I might be in the market for a new mini split in a few hours .
Looking for a 3 ton that will last more then a few years, 5 or more would be nice.
Was thinking Mitsubishi was the best, but after reading reviews on them, I’m looking for something different.

Only needs to cool. What brand are you using?

Here is mine telling me to FuckOff BC25CCCF-310B-4595-ACDC-626D4484E9B2.jpeg

I'm all ears here. Gonna be moving soon and upgrading my gear. Moving into equipment I haven't used, so I'm mostly just going to listen here.

I hope it's just a leak, easy fix. Those stupid flare fittings always leak.

Don't let them overcharge you for the refrigerant lol. 25 pounds is only about $100

Couple things I would do differently in my room is , would have jackhammer a couple floor drains in.
Better research on a mini split
Use a Quest Dehumitifer from the start.

Me to, I run a 4 stage perpetual flower, if it’s toast I’m going need to get creative to save the room, while I wait for a replacement.

Good tips. I'm going to be looking for floor drains when we look at house in the next month. Looks like the wife is going to kick me to the garage, which is fine as long as I have the equipment to maintain a good environment. I'll probably have a few questions while I'm researching equipment, you mind if I post em up here?

My minis have a micro leak at the flare fittings, basically unfixable because I can't braze it the way it's built.

I proactively pump down my units and weigh in a full charge twice a year to keep them running at 100%.

Awesome. I assume he's gonna evacuate it, pressure test with nitrogen to locate and repair the leak then weigh in a new charge? Glad to hear it's fixable.
Because of the temp outside, he said it would be better to just recharge the system, n re flare it in the spring.

Said emptying the system at this temp would probably cause more issues (I’m in the north)

Well it wouldn’t take a full charge .
N found a new problem, he think is a sensor
Because the condenser fan won’t stay running .
He’s Going to come back in a hour-ish I guess.
