Hey,

My strips just arrived today but I can't find any "U" or "C" channels that has 4cm width. L09's has 4.1cm width. My question is can I use 4cm width "L" channels instead? Or even just flat aluminum pieces that's little thicker than the strips? I'm not living in US by the way.

There is the strips, all 3000k and I'll be running them with ELG-200-48A.

Any type of shape will work really... The thing that must be considered, is the exposed surface area of the "heatsink" material....More surface area will allow greater cooling. Flat aluminum pieces wont really offer much exposed surface area, unless they are wider than the strips....
L channel over flatbar for sure.....Many builds around used L channel.

Thanks for the input. Will strips being 1mm wider than the L channels make any difference or is that okay? Or could I stick two 25mm L channels together to make wider U channel?

Try to find equal or open leg straight edge where you stay.
It is cheap, low weight and cost.

4cm L channel is likely going to be a massive thick gauge

Alternatively, you could use 2x1 rectangular aluminium tube and the premade plastic Ts's and corners they make for that. Be sure to ground all parts.

People who do flooring or tiling use it to screed off straight lines.

I get mine at a local building supply. About $14 for 8 feet.

You may have missed the bit about the tubing I added it after.

What do they have in T profiles..? I'd imagine the centre fin would work nicely.

I'm checking from website and I don't realy know the language people use at the place I live. So I will have to go and check what is usable and whats not. Because I'm looking at some cluster of words and illustrated pictures right now.
