Interesting problem I have never seen...

I moved my max amount of plants into my bloom room and had a few left over that I felt were not as strong and vigorous as the others. I left them to veg out and use as plants to try new techniques on to see what different things would do. I noticed 2 or 3 plants had leaves that were doing something I had never seen before. Anyone ever seen this and know what causes it? Thanks

That's not a burn, definitely looks like a deficiency too me. How long have they been in veg?? What are you feeding them? Any bugs in the soil? Could be the roots being attacked

No focused light. We are using next light veg 8 leds. These plants have been in veg now 4 months. They are experimental plants and didnt get moved into bloom. None of these plants have ever shown much of a chemical burn if any at all.

These plants did have what we believe to be springtails at one point but fom what I have read they dont really effect cannabis plants and may actually benefit a garden by consuming decaying matter ( I am still researching that... ). I don't believe we have seen them in about 3 or 4 weeks after making some changes in watering and nutrients.

They did get moved into a location that got colder than they were used to. The room was spray foamed and extremely air tight but didn't have a door installed until last week. It did hold some heat put off by lights, fans, dehu but I would say it got in the low 50s high 40s at one point a few random times. I was thinking this was possibly the cause... But I wanted to see if someone has dealt with this and figured it out.

Ive seen plants do this after being sprayed with pesticides.
No pesticides used... yet
But this is one of the reasons I kept them for experiments. I can use pesticides and other preventative products, etc, etc and view the effects on this strain before I hit the whole crop.

4 months. They got left out of bloom and are now experimental plants... instead of just throwing them out. They are in coco and we are using hydroponic nutrients + cal-mag.
They had springtails for a little while but I dont think they are still around after watering and nutrient change. I could be wrong about that but we dont see them in run off anymore.

Looks like more like a genetic drift issue , weaker genes can cause undesirable growth and structure. Recessive traits can come to light among strains , especially on strains that are not fully bred out.

Mutations are part of the game.

unusual genetic function is what I first thought. Have to agree with budz on this. strange genetic characteristics. hopefully it's very limited in how it expresses and doesn't affect the other leaves.
As far as damage to the roots is concerned... LOL!

That's why I asked about bug issues! Not trying to be a know it all because I'm farrrrr from that. Just working on a process of elimination lol
