COBs and humidity

Can be COBs without lenses and other stuff somehow damaged under 80-90% humidity? I also run "mister" which is making cold fog and when I open the tent, there is a lot of fog inside. However I just bought this mister today, so I don't know if I use it or not.

Yeah they ain't waterproof ... And why would you EVER run your environment that high of humidity? Plus, I'd be CONCERNED if fog bellowed out for sure. What is it this "mister"? An UltraSonic fogger disc and float on top of water?

Sorry, I don't know the word for that machine. Why? Because of VPD. I can only manage RH. Here is the picture:

Right now I was set it on lower end, we'll see how much will RH raise that way. Still need around 70-75% RH.

I know many growers swear by vpd, that's fine, but you better have it dialed in or PM can easily ruin your run......

In that environment, I would definitely use some conformal coating on bare elements(solder points, etc) to be safe.

Good luck

What would you use as coating? Ive been thinking about going over my poke in connectors with a bit of silicone.

Your just asking for mold

If you need to use it consider keep it outside the grow area so it evaporates before hitting the plants. VPD isn't really crucial in veg anyway. 60% RH and mid 70s is fine.

I have an ultrasonic humidifier, you can't let that fog touch anything very close to where it comes out of the nozzle. It will condense back to water, just be warned.

They have brush on /spray.......pick your poison, isn't conformal a type of silicone?idk.

Can always email nextlight, nicks always helpful and runs the ul testing for ip65 +, he definitely could tell you which product to use .

as long as its straight water it should be fine, it would evaporate instantly near cob. if you were spraying something like nutes or neem oil that could concentrate thats another story

Careful with that. If your water is high in calcium youll find your ultrasonic huey blowing white dust everywhere...
Ask me how i know....lol

Any trick how to mount 14cm rectangle CPU fan into grow tent which has round holes? With safety in mind, of course.
