Small NFT vertical system

looking at building a sort of horizontal L shaped small system.
Approx 4’x4’ with a 90 in the corner. 3 rows.

So is 3” pipe ok?
Do you need dams to keep water back?if so how high?
What about slope,how much?
Does each site need a drip tube? Or is just flow from top to bottom ok?
I’ve watched the videos ,seems like it’s a good use of space.
My room is 6x6’ 7’ tall.

I’ll have more questions.
Any info or tips appreciated. Thx

NFT can be really frustrating. Roots tangle together, TIGHTLY, and the plants get big and fall over. I recommend utiliZing that 6X6 space better with an RDWC.

There was a video. By hieth Robison?? Similar. Looked like he had a L shape.
Also here somewhere. Octagon type. But I’m just looking for an L shape.
On that thread that was here I think he did 4” that’s why I ask if 3” is ok.

He uses 4" fence posts and it's a low pressure aero/nft kinda hybrid but I'd just call it low pressure aero. I copied that build a ways back and would have been happier with larger gullies.

So same kinda idea. Only I would just use flow instead of the sprinklers. That’s one of my questions. Does each site need a feeder line?I assume there’s a sprinkler under ea site?

No man. You have it angled towards a reservoir, and pump from that res through small tubing to the top (opposite end) of the pipe and feed a constant flow or "film" of nutrients through it back to the res.
But in all honesty, square fencing is so much better to use. Netpots sit flat and so does your water stream.

I use a very minimal “slope” on the rolling trays I built out of fence posts and 2x4

It’s been years but I’d say 1/8th inch is a good differential.

I’ve ran that NFT plastic fence post set up, they can be finicky, water temps etc.

Do yourself a favor and buy a pond liner and throw it down under your grow.

Water will be spilled.
