So your suggesting a 600w from phillips makes your tent 5°c coolerE than a sunmaster 600w....?So what would be the tell tales of a quality salt chamber?
Probably a stupid question but If certain bulbs run hotter then why wouldn’t the grow be influenced?
Nah you right it’s something I definitely need to read up on as its new to me so no at the minute I don’t understand
No.found a couple posts saying some bulbs cause their grow to run a few degrees hotter than other bulbs is there any truth in this?
Heat can be transferred from one place to another by three methods: conduction in solids, convection of fluids (liquids or gases), and radiation through anything that will allow radiation to pass.
Light and radiation do not really heqt the air but the surface they strike. So to read air temperature we want to place the thermometer away from the light and all indirect light or the meter is warmed above air temperature.
We simply run air through tents to keep air temps down lest they keep on heating in a sealed box. This dosent cool radiation heat, this either strikes your tent walls and heats that surface or the leaf where highly efficient transpiration cools to perfection.
I just dont see how a different hps affects air temperatures by much and running good cfm extraction will equalise most lights.
At first a 600watt light seems hot but in a 4x4 tent it is not really andother heaters would be considered hotter for the same 600watts. So if i place a 600watt light in my living room it does a shit job of heating the room whereas a 600watt foot heater will actually heat the air to very toasty.
Light heat all complex interplays but easy to understand as a principle over on Wiki. So if you think a salt mixture will knock your air temps doen by a few degrees your being mis-sold to a large extent as temps will remain largely the same.
Way too much light hype thesedays
No.
The variance in HPS bulbs of the same wattage is so minimal that it wouldn't make a difference in even a pretty small space. Their difference is probably more down to ventilation variances and ambient temperature than anything else.
Don't read too much into all the bulb hype. I took the Pepsi Challenge with a 60 dollar Hortilux 600 watt HPS bulb against a 30 dollar Yield Labs HPS bulb and there was no difference at all. What hps bulb out there is better than the Hortilux Super HPS?
Ummmm...yeah.Get yourself a cupple of CMH 315 and daisy chain them a little heat nouthing like a 600 watt hps, and no glass to block uvb rays from reaching your girls!
First off, no they aren't unless is UV glass, which regular tempered glass is not.The uvb rays a compleated blocked by the glass
I agree. You can't argue with someone who states facts. That just BS....I won’t b drawn into a argument with u go argue with your self
