Cannabis for Pain

Don't underestimate the value that thc adds....plenty of us have to function with the public ...on the phone or in person...etc..
it is still possible, but you would have to approach it from a tolerance angle ....work at it slowly and increase usage and you will find
you won't be getting anywhere near as high as you once did....but will be able to take on more medication and a combo of the right medications...

Cannabis has been used for centuries to alleviate pain. Research has confirmed the interaction between cannabinoids and their analgesic and anti-inflammatory effects on the body, confirming that cannabis can act as a potent alternative to nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs like ibuprofen. So, make sure you have a medical cannabis card in Los Angeles to access the medicinal effects of cannabis strains.
That card would be super useful, if I were American or had any plan to visit before I drop dead.

I would enjoy reading your research on this! (obviously peer reviewed preferred).

before I offer advice ..I make sure Ive tried it first.
So far...it has helped nephropathy to Mr Arthur Itis in the knee. It works topically for the kneee as well as with added ingesting ........which I use for a cancer regimen.

Good place to start

https://mcrlabs.com/the-cannabis-review/cannabinoids/

couple of articles

I would love to have a card from California, Canna-Tsu and Harley-Tsu from Ringo are only available to Cali patients and some banks won't ship out of state let alone country........ Hey anyone from California?

Happy New Year!
Actually I breed focused on neuropathic pain relief and I'm from California, Los Angeles to be exact. I was being snarky about the spammer recommending a Medical Card in Los Angeles on a Canadian thread, spammers and profiteers annoy me.

I only need a couple hits of the right strains to experience pain relief. Same with my wife. I make butter for edibles and make topicals for pain relief. The topicals work.

coconut oil wins for me. I am going to start making batches with sativa to see if i can prevent the pass out feeling because indica coconut oil is very sedative. I just couldnt part with my sativa from outside to try.

But wow do i sleep well with indica coconut oil.

I have quit smoking doobs in favor of my da buddha vape (which is a rockstar). That helps with my arthritis pain but a tsp of oil in coffee or hot water in the morning and im good for hours.

It is kind of funny i was looking for a chicken in the freezer to try it in the instant pot (cooked from frozen in 1 hour). and i found 3 pounds of coconut oil 3 different batches.

I had a tablespoon of one and that was the strongest i have made to date. it lasted 8 hours and it was a steady hum at 1 tablespoon. 1 tsp would be pain relief and no sedation. Amazing really.

Sometimes I just eat a big spoon of coconut oil. :eyesmoke:

That's for oil that most find uncomfortable when making cookies that call for a couple tablespoons.

When I use cannabis it still hurts but I can ignore it and get on with my life. That includes after surgery, dental issues, fucked up joints, etc.

I'm sorry your wife is in so much pain.
This.
Exactly.
A multitude of back injuries make me prone to back spasms. They can last for hours or for weeks and if the spasms are in the thoratic region i get headaches for hours or days. The weed doesnt kill the pain for me, just mutes it. But it also keeps me from going insane while i suffer through it.

The added bonus is that if i can smoke just the right amount (changes due to fatigue or what im eating) everyday the weed will keep the muscles from spazzing in the first place.

Same thing here. My wife had a car accident years ago and she starting taking magnesium in the morning and at night. I was diagnosed with MS a few years back and was having some serious issues with spasticity (muscle clenching). I started taking magnesium and both of us have reduced that issue to almost non-existent. Both of us had spasms in the legs as well as the back. YMMV.

It's the entire reason I started growing to begin with and why I chose White Widow.

I was just sick of the pills. I just couldn't and wouldn't do it anymore.

One small bowl in the peace pipe and the pain turns into more of a tingling sensation I can live with easily, and I'm not so couch locked I can't go out and get shit done.

I've had 5 major surgeries since 2012, 7 since 2007. I am not going back to the fucking pills again. Ever.

The muscle clenching or spasms doesnt sound like much to people, but fuck it is a bitch to live with...
